Yeah, he was a beast. You appreciate the video above that shows him actually defending and engaging duels. Today's full-backs are more valued by their offensive output and they defend mostly in a system. I can't stand it watching a full-back with 2 meter safety distance to the winger, not engaging because they fear to lose the duel, arms behind the back and try force a long cross out of him and shift the responsibility to the CBs and GK.
These system players made football much more robotic and one-dimensional.
