Many people keep thinking these young players can only get better. Unfortunately doesn't work that way.

Balde peaked at 17 4 seasons ago, hope Cuba won't be like that as well.

You can be slow, but tall and physical - Bastoni

You can be small, but quick - Marquinhos

You can however not be small, weak and slow.

You can especially not play with two of such CBs as we just did.

Flick classic.

I don't know how he thought this partnership was a good one in a high leverage game.

Any other combination would have been better

Flick is really making me hate this kid, he is nowhere near the level. If he was anything other than Catalan he would never even sniff the pitch
Same here. I get super irritated with him, but it's not his fault. Flick is at fault here. And the idiotic mantra of a defender that needs to play like Beckenbauer. He needs to fucking defend properly first and only then his ball-playing skills should be important

Again, at 18 it is very tough for defender. And playing suicidal highline tactic every games just make it worse.
We can say he's 18 etc etc sure and it's a fair point but Cubarsi really doesn't show any standout traits. He isn't fast, doesn't have height on his side, not great in the air, doesn't have the athleticism needed and his footballing iq really isn't all that either.

At best he'll probably end up a bench option at Barca in the future.
