Should have won the double that season.

Took a while to get over Messi sulking about Suarez and club not letting him leave then they got into position to win it..and blew it when got into position to go on and win it.

That home game to Granada derailed it sickening result.

They had found a formation that worked with Messi/Griezmann behind Dembele at CF and Busi/Pedri/FDJ or FDJ in back 3 behind that.

Then abandoned it it too quickly.

It got so ridiculous to the point that went Atletico dropped points in March 2021. I heard that Messi and co were doing a party celebrating that event as they thought they were going to top the table. It really is a shame that we bottled the league that season and every time Atletico bottled the league. We bottled that advnatage many times and that's what led us to 3rd that season.

It has to be stated that the reason why Barcelona has underachieved in Europe is the fact Barcelona kept sabotaging itself historically through political infighting. Ignore the last 25 years of European runs, can you imagine a club that has had Kubala, Luis Suarez, Cruyff, Krankl, Schuster, Maradona and Laudrup has 1 European Cup to their name, by 2000, you can say 2 of the greatest players of all time (Maradona and Cruyff) played for Barcelona yet Barcelona did not reap the rewards of that due to infighting, instability and stupid decisions.
