8 - Pedri

He needs freedom to move up and have 2 behind him to take care of dangerous transitions.

Not what Spain or Barca think when he is playing best football of his career in both.

When he played further forward for Barca you just bitched about how over rated he was and same in that first Euros.

The claim is when Pedri plays there are 2 better defenders in midfield with him. One of which far better.

This is how you get the best of him.

This is how Xavi saw it also. He just did not have the options of De La Fuente.

You claim Spain has two midfielders behind Pedri when he moves forward?

Absolute nonsense as ever.

You really can never get a grip on the player Pedri is at any point.

Want him moved back up park to positon claimed he was weak/slow and over rated.

I told you above. 2 defensively better players than what we have are there. The reason is simple. Pedri is a sub-mediocre defender.

Let's say this is 2011, who do you play Pedri instead, with the least expected drop of quality? Busi, Xavi, or Iniesta. Don't tell me Busi or Xavi lol.

What two players in Spain midfield are behind Pedri as he gets freedom to go forward?

Pedri absolutely is not the most advanced midfielder for Spain lately he has been moved back from that role.

He is playing in the role between the AM and the DM.

Likes of Merino is no dropping for Pedri.. he is constantly used to get in about box for his physicality.

You really have no clue how they are playing.

Luis de la Fuente:
🎙️
"Before I was playing Pedri as the attacking midfielder, with Merino behind him. However, thankfully I swapped them around. The players show their talent more and the team plays better. I made the right choice."

Flick and De La Fuente dont agree with you and both have Pedri playing best football of his career.

But keep crying for him to play in way Xavi played him at a time you cried about how likes of Pedri was over rated and not as good a player Xavi had in squad a some thought.

First you need the DM. Like Xavi figured out as soon as Busi moved to US.

Aye Xavi signed Gundogan and Romeu.

Top stuff from the coach who simply knew he needed a DM.

He also pushed for Inigo at CB.

That is around 32m on the books for that one season.

Fairly adressed the must need for a DM there!

Cheapos. As said. Short contract, free agents. On the cheap, cost being the key advantage. Short contract means they can be stop gaps.

He asked for Zubimendi he got fecking Romeu . And some tools think he asked for Romeu.

Like me saying Flick loves Martin and that's why he signed Rashford instead of a fullback. This is kids play.

And for the money spend on Rashford you could sign a better fullback instead of Kounde who you trash constantly for example.

Don't waste my time with shite like that. Leave it at the obvious, when you don't have money you can't improve the team like you want it improved.
