World Cup '26 qualifiers discussion

That was wrong btw (think it's the second time I have misread).

It's not head to head, it is goal difference as first tiebreaker. Hence Ghana still not officially qualified though they will.

Scotland now winning against Greece - win this and it's 7 points with three games to go, two at home, including one against Belarus.

Might we actually qualify for our first World Cup this century? I don't think we will but win this and it's game on. It might come down to the final game against Denmark, though think the Danes are too good for us. But it is at home.

The away game in Greece is a problem. Denmark won comfortably there.

We won. 7 points from 9.

No excuses. Beat Belarus at Hampden on Sunday (easiest game on paper of the 6) and hope Greece get something in Copenhagen. Though if they don't we will be guaranteed a play-off place at least (if we win).

Wins at home to Belarus and Denmark, and draw in Greece, qualifies us automatically.

@Messigician Your boys took one hell of a beating mate! (just some friendly banter).

Congrats.
Thanks mate. I didn't watch.

Like I say, not THAT bothered. I won't be despondent if we don't qualify and it won't ruin my summer if we aren't there. But I won't lie and say it won't be really nice to see us get to a World Cup again. It's been so long. We might get pumped there (though maybe not as with the expansion there will be some weaker teams). However, it would still be nice to be there and have someone to cheer on.
