8 - Pedri

Technically, Pedri is so far above. And pretty much everything else.

Vitinha is a bit quicker but most importantly he has better supports just like you wrote above.

Put Pedri in Lucho's Qsg then he wins Ballon Dor.
That's objectively not true lol. Pedri isn't a superior passer and Vitinha is a better ball carrier. Defensively, its hard for me to judge because last season Pedri was alot better defensively than he is this season, where they both practically don't exist but I'll give the edge to Pedri. Where Pedri is superior is his intelligence, Pedri's one of the most intelligent players in modern football. However other technical aspect of their game, are either equal or close.

Lmao Pedri is far better passer and dribbler/ball carrier. This from last season. Vitinha ain't touch this level of passing.

Intelligence too.

Vitinha only edge when it comes to quickness. And better supports in midfield.

Vitinha's weight of pass is alot better than Pedri, even Frenkie's better than Pedri and this limits Pedri's ability to make it easier for attackers to receive the ball thus telling me that his passing is not at the same level. Pedri's range was alot more expansive a few seasons ago and either by choice or command he doesn't showcase it anymore. As for ball carrying, I don't think Pedri is a better ball carrier, I can't expound on my point but from watching them both, Vitinha has the edge for me. As for the comp you linked, I feel it should be obvious but you can't compare two things by observing one, that doesn't make sense. Comps while a decent tool for player analysis, are also flawed in their ability to pick out specific outcomes and fixate on those while removing the other aspects. Actually watch games, Pedri has displayed an excellent array of passes, but not consistently and alot of the times he makes it difficult for others. As for support, I actually agree with you, Enrique's system is designed in a superior way to Flick's and part of that is the enhancement of the midfield but that shouldn't completely take away from your judgement of Vitinha especially considering he looks like that for Portugal.

Got it. I thought you were gonna go the other way for a minute and that Vitinha was way better.

To be fair they both bring different things. I'd imagine that if LE had Pedri for example, that he would be paired with Vitinha and Joao Neves for example, with Ruiz the rotation.

Onto a little tangent, looking back at the match and can't help but think that LE got into Pedri head a bit. Saying he was Harry Potter and hopefully doesn't bring those magical escapes.

Game comes and Pedri is trying precisely that, even when a square pass would be of more benefit.
