Lucho has spent a ton of money at PSG. He wouldn't get anywhere near that capacity here. Imagine spending 150m on duds like Kolo Muani and Ugarte and being able to write it off like it is nothing? At Barca, it would put the club into another financial crisis.
He inherited Hakimi and Mendes but basically signed a completely new team aside from that.
Flick's got his faults (as does Lucho) but people would be delusional to believe that if Flick had the opportunity, that he wouldn't for a second hesitate to sign a whole new backline, replace Lewa with a world class #9, sign a decent RW option off the bench etc...

Stop with this non sense, if Enrique is coaching this exact teams he's getting the exact same results as Flick or better.
Hell are you talking about, have you seen our XI, flick isn't playing with scrubs.
We have a top 4-5 squads in Europe period.

This myth that flick is playing with scrubs has to stop, PSG And Liverpool after spending 400m+ is the only team with a bigger squad than us right now.
That XI we put us yesterday was just as good or better than the one PSG played on paper, and that's a undeniable fact.
That with 3 starters missing, and 2 squad players (gavi and fermin).
We could still field an XI that was better or equal to what PSG had, on paper.
But on the field the better coach won, simple as that

Before Flick came here the story was also that he can only do it with a shitload of money and a team full of stars at Bayern, now he is some miracle worker who can do it with anybody and without funds. Not exactly, he got La Masia kids that PSG/Lucho didn't get and many stars bought two seasons earlier.
I think Lucho's success would be similar or better, he's just a better manager who is able to match Flick's ofensive output but without the chaos in defense and with much more control and pausa. Perfect for our next manager.

Relax. It's simple.
Normally managers get rewarded with a decent transfer budget at the end of a successful season at a big club.
A fast, physical CB would help his system a lot. As would a bit more squad depth. Doesn't mean the existing squad isn't great but it can certainly be improved.
Flick deserved some money this summer to strengthen some of the weaker areas in the squad. Not sure how this is a hot take?

He had 1 fast CB and 1 physical CB on the bench yesterday and chose not to use them.
When he had the perfect profile back line for his system at Bayern, he conceded basically the exact same number of goals with Bayern as he did with us in the league.
Flick issues isn't the personel he will always concede goals, that's the trade off with his system.
He got a goalkeeper and a back up LF, which was our biggest need, as he himself literally said.

This is not about who plays the best football and wins trophies while on a budget. Otherwise there are managers from lower teams that might be better.
At this point in time PSG is a better team then us and they showed it. Easy to hide behind statements like "narrow loss" when in fact we got outplayed after we scored.

You are comparing apples and oranges. Of course money in, money out matters. The very fact that our overall team performances under Flick is generating chatter about us being one of the very best and/or most entertaining teams in Europe should demonstrate to anyone what a great manager Flick is.
Flick is doing it without any player investments. Zero. Nada! Lucho is doing it with unlimited funds. Dude has an oil state behind him for crying out loud.
Also, we were better during the majority of the first half. PSG was better in the second. We lost; It happens! Our brand of football is still some of the most beautiful in the world, assembled for a fraction of the cost of what other major teams invest. And Flick is making it all click.

Comparing apples and oranges when referring to two elite level clubs? Barca squad being valued at 1.11bn and PSG at 1.07bn.
Barca spent money in the past. Flick didn't have to go on the market for Pedri or FDJ, or Yamal. So let's not make it all about money.
Yes, Lucho had his pick of players having the budget, but Barca were not some paupers either.
I won't even comment much about your delusion related to last night. PSG was better overall, it's not some fluke result. And PSG played a football closer to what Barca aspires to.

In fact, the high squad valuation is a result of clever transfer acquisitions, our brilliant academy, our historic brand, and our wonderful manager who makes all players perform at their very best. Regardless, why even mention this figure? Are you insinuating that PSG doesn’t enjoy economic superiority over us?
PSG is like Michael Jackson on a shopping spree. We are like Charlie Sheen after he was fired from Two and a Half Men… forced to go on a comedy tour to pay for Barto’s whores. XD
Second, it isn’t all about money. I agree! Knowing who to purchase and thereafter making the system click is a great managerial skill to have too, one that many fail at (Amorim, ETH, Moyes, OGS, to name a few). I always say that one can have the best equipment in the world but if you don’t know how to operate it, what’s the point? Lucho has done a fantastic job. No doubt about it.
With that said, Flick has done a fantastic job too, and hasn’t gotten one single player from the club. Yet he is playing title winning champagne football. Sadly we lost this one game. I say, so what? Let’s learn from it.

You're trying to shift the whole discussion around money which doesn't make any sense. PSG played the better football, last season and last night.
And also stop crying about poor Flick losing last nigh as it wasn't some bad luck. We were beaten fair and square, at home. Nothing sad about it. Sad would have been us dominating all match and ref red carding FDJ and Yamal getting injured, while we somehow draw or lose the match.

My main point is that before Flick, our style of play was horrendous and incapable of challenging anyone in Europe (not even the Europa League). Fast forward to the Flick-ball era, and we are one of the hottest teams in Europe while challenging anyone to a great game of football. In fact, even when we go down a goal, we always have the sensation that we can “bounce back” which we hadn’t enjoyed for a very long time before Flick. Zero Flick transfers. Beautiful football.
He has turned us into a beast again, and I very much doubt that anyone wants to face Barcelona in a knockout competition these days. If you disagree, fair enough. I can’t change your mind.
