Goals this season
Samu = 11
Griezzman + Sorloth + Alvarez = 11

Porto paid 5m to buy additional 15% of his rights.

With tractor staying and Gyo, Šeško and Osimhen probably joining other clubs this summer I think Big Samu should be the one to watch next season.

That's if he'll even stay in Portugal. I think he should but you never know as reports are already emerging about Villa trying to sign him.

Maybe it could be an option for next summer, as it seems that none of the other strikers are realistic anymore. What do you guys think?

Not a bad start to season. 5 goals in 6 matches. He's gonna be hot commodity if he continues like this.

Yeah have to imagine he is one of the strikers being monitored but a gamble to buy players from Portugal as seen so often with CFs and full backs often seem to come out of there and not live up to it.

Wouldn't buy him for what Porto will ask.

I like Big Samu but agree that he will be overpriced. Porto is better at selling than Sporting so will probably get more for him than they got for Gyokeres despite he won't have anywhere near his production but is younger and has potential which stupidly rich (or richly stupid) PL teams want to pay for.

If we are buying a striker from Porkchop league would prefer Pavlidis over Samu though Benfica will probably ask 100m for him too, lol. So should just look elsewhere then.

I just don't think we'll be in a position to make 100m signings anytime soon (and after how those type of transfers have turned out in the past I don't want them anymore despite liking Alvarez for example) so we'll have to look for cheaper options.

Mentioned him before but one guy I like is Franculino Dju. Gives me some young (Sociedad version) Isak vibes.

What I like in this scout report (though is a year and half old so would like to see more recent stats) is that he seems to be a hard-working player defensively and has numbers to prove that as well. But obviously he's still a work in progress.

Not sure he's ready for a big step but should be available for a reasonable (for Barca's current finances) price despite interest from Bayern and PL clubs. Going through the Ajax/PSV/mid-Ligue 1 team or Dortmund/Leipzig/Brighton phase as a stepping stone would be better for his career development but wouldn't be surprised if he would be snapped up by a big club next summer either so this could be our best and only chance to get him.

Would clearly be a risky signing but If we don't get him now and he blossoms in another team we could easily look at him as the one that got away in a few years. We could ease him in rotating with Ferran at the start and see how it goes. Or alternatively send him on loan and renew Lewa for a season (can't believe I'm saying this, lol) but if Flick will show this season he can manage his minutes better and he would accept a big pay cut and his ego is not too big to accept bench/impact sub role then he could still be useful.

And I believe Franculino could be used as a LW/LF in Flick's system too so we could look at him more as a Rashford rather than Lewa replacement, at least initially. But if we'll have any money to spend then I think in the 20-30m range he's worth a risk. If his price raises (which easily could when PL teams get involved) then I wouldn't be as willing to take the risk. But we have almost a full season ahead of us and I'll def take some more time scouting him.

Agree with you on Pavloidis.

Samu would have been great opportunity signing. See how he turns out but looking to be levelling out as a rotation guy. Not a bad level but not a 60m+ level either.

But let's see. Joao Pedro took a good few seasons to reach 1.5 tier level- as an example.
