Hard to conceive how good he has become.

Probably one of the top 5 career turnarounds I've seen during my time watching football.

2 years ago when this guy received the ball at his feet, he looked like bambi on ice and made you wonder how it was even possible this guy was a footballer. Couldn't even do the basics right.

Now he's a genuine killa.

First of all, he was always a highly skilled player. Hence why he was first recruited by Pep, national team and then by Barcelona. It’s not as if his mad skillz just appeared one day. He was just underperforming in a system which didn’t suit him (or most of our attackers).

Second, he is thriving now cause… well, he’s in a system where he understands his role and that allows him to evolve as a player.

We see it time and again. Player X performs well under one manager, transfers to a new club and underperforms. Suddenly the player sucks. No! The system just wasn’t right for said player.

Again, Flick is the one making so many of our players shine. Deserves a beautiful shrine for his work at Barca.

One just has to look at his goals to understand. When he has space and time to apply the finish he gets it right(dunno the conversion rate though). When he is pressured like for his third attempt he hits the crossbar or misses the goal.

I forgot he was 1.92m. For that stature he is exceptionally light on feet yeah and comes with solid dribbling skills.
