How much do we still owe Messi, Busquets, Alba, and Suarez?
The final installments were paid to Messi and the rest in June 2025. 7m to Messi, 1.3m to Busi and 1.1 to Alba. Those figures all go into account when salary cap is calculated (debt repayment).

But the big debt which stood at 1.3bn when Ratameu dropped the mic, have been restructured in installments until 2033. So don't get your hopes high we'll catch up with Real Madrid's salary cap of 720m this decade.

It makes no sense to think La Liga are corrupt with FFP rules. They didn't cause the mess in 2020 and 2021.

I want to know how is our revenue 950m and we don't register a generous profit. How are we barely breaking even.

Where do the money go? It looks to me we have big expenses that aren't made public beyond the squad wages.

Generous will never happen, that's not what sports club are in the business of doing.

Anywhere from a steady 5-15m and we are golden

Yeah, steady 5-15m after making the deals in transfers that you need.

We closed the financial year of 2023/24 with a loss of 91m.

Further reading on the article on debt closing, money owed to players, that we paid this summer:

- Umtiti - 1.4m
- Griezmann - 1.1m
- Coutinho - 1m
- Dembele - 750k
- Sergi Roberto - 700k

Overall we closed out debt worth in total of 19m.

We can't really compete with Madrid financially because of our debt compared to theirs. They can use most of their revenue, we can't. We have to pay off short term debt with a good chunk of it I think.

My bad, I misread. The whole budget of Bernabeu is 1.6b, they will be re-paying debt until 2050. So discard my previous comment.

Let's discard the stadium debt, as this is more investment.

What is Barca vs Madrid debt not counting stadium projects? Ours is well over 1bn. I read theirs is something like 40m not sure how legit it is.

Seen some sources saying Madrid's debt not counting the stadium loan is as low as 12m.

Also, did they sell 25% of their future TV rights for 25 years like us?

It's an enormous difference in how the clubs were run since Florentino took over at Madrid vs Rosell and Bartomeu. Debts were similar circa 2009 IIRC.

Their non-stadium debt is very low I read. Ours not counting the stadium is huge by comparison.
Most of our debt is owed to banks, loans made under Bartomeu to make us Galacticos. I read it's around 400-500m and it fits the narrative of the stellar fuckups on the transfer window the club made after Neymar left.
