Domestic audience though.

Not bad considering last weekend of summer and many are away, and this watching in bars, etc.

Yea it's not bad for those two domestically, I just wonder what the average viewership across the league is.

Those two doing NBA numbers in a country with a population significantly less than the US is a good sign for them individually.

Not a good sign for the NBA though.

American's know how to sell.

More ads, higher per customer valuation, etc.

Meanwhile in Spain they grab one coffee and watch a whole game and have one of the lowest wages in Europe.

1000 Spanish are basically the equivelent of 1 Americans, 10 Mexicans or 100 Colombians sent to meddle in Venezuela.

La Liga full transfers, there might be couple of players missing from last night.

Someone fact check me, but the most expensive signing for 10 clubs didn't exceed 5M, another 2 clubs didn't exceed 10M, 3 more with 11-15M.

5 Clubs had at least one signing over 20M: Betis and Barca, both didn't reach 30M mark for a signing, Villarreal biggest transfer is at 31M, Atletico signed Baena for 42M and Real Madrid has signed Hujsen for 62.5M as the league most expensive signing in 2025.

55 Net spending, likely less depending on how much Laporte cost Bilbao and counting Lukébakio sale from Sevilla for 20M. If Laporte joins for free, then net spending is almost 35M.

La Liga scheduled El Derbi madrileno for Saturday, 27th September at 16:15 to give Real more time before they travel to Almaty (Kazakhstan) in the CL where they play on the 30th at 18:45. Fair enough so far. Atleti also play their CL MD2 game (home vs Frankfurt) later the same day so only normal the derby was scheduled for Saturday (and not Sunday at 21:00 like normal over last few years).

But the problem is RM will play their previous league game ahead of the derby away at Levante on Tuesday (23.9 at 21:30) while Atleti will host Rayo the next day (also at 21:30). So AM will only have around 65 hours to rest and prepare and RM a full day more but I'm sure RM TV won't mention this fact (They will clearly find something else to bitch about though).

Other thing is La Liga scheduled both Madrid's games around their CL MD1 (home vs Marseille on September 20) - away at Sociedad (16.9) and home vs Espanyol (23.9) in the 16:15 slot to have at least those required 72 hours between the end of one game and start of the other.

If you want to know why protests never work for Barca, here is the reason. They officially said it was a pen against Balde and ref should have stopped the game before Torres' goal against Mallorca. They simply overrule the ref, who saw it happening live and decided, that there was no serious head-injury, so he didn't stop the attack. And why should he, if the defender plays the ball actively with his head and then falls down? After this logic, every defender can just fall down and stop a dangerous attack this way. Another ridiculous and highly biased assessment.

PS: Somebody knows if the same people said Tchoumeni deserved a pen as well, as his hand was 3 times more in an unnatural position than that of Balde?
