I think what we can reasonably say is that Kane, Shearer, Benzema, Suarez and Lewy were all fantastic attackers and some of the best strikers of their generations. And Rasmus Hojlund will never ever be even 10 percent as good as any of them

On the other hand, Kane never had entire seasons off.
Kane consistently got amazing numbers with an average team.
Benzema finished a league campaign with 5 league goals as Real Madrid's main striker which is absolutely embarrassing.
Real Madrid fans who watched him week in week out, wanted Benzema out for years. If you go back to his contract renewal posts back in 2018, you'll find Madrid fans absolutely furious in the comments.
Those 2 years 2021 and 2022 completely changed his reputation and history was rewritten. He was a poor, patchy finisher for half of his career. He always had very good technical ability since Lyon but his finishing has never been reliable.
When Benzema didn't turn up in big games, Madrid still won because of Ronaldo, Bale, Ramos, Modric, Kroos, etc so nobody noticed anything. Look at his CL knockout numbers. He has played a HUGE amount of games and his goal ratio is rather average. He has actually been invisible in countless big games.

He seems really happy at Bayern to me. But I suppose Barcelona are one of the very few clubs it's almost impossible to say no to if theres a chance of signing.

Don't think age really comes into it with
Kane as he has aged like fine wine. He can't run about as much as he did 3 or 4 years ago but everything else in his game is better than ever.

I think they are very different number 9's, albeit they both obviously score tons of goals. Lewandowski is far more athletic and quicker off the mark. Kane's hold up play and ability to link play is on a different level to just about every other 9 I can think of.
