One thing I've noticed is, his subs impact on the name is very hit or miss

It has to primarily be because he rarely changes the Formation/system with subs, it's just a fresher player off the bench.

This was certainly not a good look for Flick, We looked totally unprepared for their style of play. I really hope it was just a bad day but it looked very worrying.
Add to that our defense seem even worse than last season, wasn't that the highest priority to fix?

Apart from Rayo having a very well planted game plan, the draw, which isn't necessarily bad, is on Flick.

He's shown last season and this, that he has a tenacity to go to the wrong away grounds with the wrong wholesale squad changes.

This time going with a fresh centreback partnership, one of which hasn't played any pre season at centreback, when the most logical thing would have been pairing either Joe or Cubs with Christ.

Yeesh. Just a bad move all around changes both centres at the same time for an undrilled pair.

High line is too exploitable now, a season was all it took for teams to adapt, and they did, except we haven't. When we first appointed Flick, Bayern fans wrote about his susceptibility to switches of play and the problems it caused. We're seeing that now and he hasn't adapted anything. It is possible to play a highline and control a game, PSG for example, but what I'm most curious about is whether this is a personnel issue or a tactical issue. Leaning towards tactical considering we rotated this game as well. And our pressing has fallen off a cliff, he needs to fix up ASAP.

It's okay, better to have problems now than when the big games start. Last season we started insanely good and didn't win a match in November. Now Flick sees the problems and can engage them early enough. He obviously needs to fix the defense before the CL games, or Newcastle and PSG will feast.

Agreed
That's why I gave him a 2, the coach didn't help us today

I agree. Look at Rayo. They leave player offside and then when wing gets free it's always 2vs1 or 2vs0. This game tactic started last season and more and more teams doing it. We need to keep an eye on situations like this. Also never play E. Garcia again as a CB.

Flick needs to improve his strategies. Make counter strategies. It's not just this thing, every team has studied Barcas playbook. We need to study them more than ever. Instead I feel like we haven't changed anything other than made our defense worse with E GARCIA

They adapted to that dumb high line last season. We just had exceptional attacking season.
Lewa is older.
0 Chance rapinha gets the same numbers again
And more importantly lamine is not creating any more.
He wants to be a goal scorer.

In short it needs to be abandoned asap

Board are hanging him out to dry.

It is a shambles the way they have to deal with players who dont know if/when will be registered this late and losing players this late in window.

Other players like OImo who are probably thinking about the appeal in next few days that could mean he cant play.

Its a fucking joke they have to deal with all that.

It's early in the season. Players have recognized that they need to play with a lot more intensity and focus. Lamine, Frenkie, Joan Garcia said so after the match and also said we didn't deserve more than one point either.

Would also like him to make some adjustments in away games like this defensively.

That said we probably have the worst defence out of all the top teams in Europe. CBs in particular. I don't think a single CB of ours make it to the starting lineup of the biggest challengers for the CL.

Cubarsi has been very poor since January(yes i know he is very young). Christensen can barely stay healthy half the time and is good, but nothing special. Araujo we all know every team will press because they know he'll fuck up when he is under pressure. The less said about Eric Garcia the better.

Flick: "The most important thing is that when the transfer market closes, everyone is 100% committed to this team. No egos because egos kill success. Last season we played as a team, as one unit, and we have to go back to this."
