Wonder what Flick thinks of all this mess re. signings, stadium, tour shannenigans, his leader on the pitch leaving 10 days before the start of the season, team captain being smeared in the media.

Wouldn't be surprised if he resigned.
Or media make drama out of small things. Tour shannenigans, really? Because they had to drive with a bus for 4 hours to Seoul, he should resign?
He knew the financial situation of the club when he signed, everyone knows big constructions come with a delay. Flick was one of the harshest critics against MAtS, because of his pressure before the Milan game, Flick hates this.

And if that is not enough, Flick repeated in every single press conference last season, he loves every second being a Barca coach. People should stop making conclusions based on smear media. The team dynamics are a different world, all training videos show a very good mood and motivation for the upcoming season.

They didn't know until the day of the tour if they are going or not. Plus one match was cancelled.
All other points stand too.
It's a fucking mess he stepped into and I admire him for it.

You should stop consuming those black pills. Bojan. People are under lot of stress these days, but i think most things will come out good. I don't believe in environment that is Spain and especially Catalunya, there are great deal of options for great presidents. Those guys are way too emotional and shifty to trust them any kind of ordnung maintenance. Peres is crypto jew so doesn't count.

I don't think we can ever evaluate Flick's performance here 100%. If he really leaves in 2027.
He will probably never have a transfer window where he can acquire class players to fill the team's voids.
Our financial situation & this boards fuck ups really have hamstrung his potential. I am not asking to spend what your top 5 EPL teams spend. But we at this moment couldn't even spend 60m without players being sold. That's the problem.

Going into 25/26 we have our Best CB leave without a suitable backup, hoping Araujo performs better and Christensen stays fit.
Didnt get a good enough backup of Balde, who routinely gets injured during the peak time of the season.
37 year old Striker, who still is our best goal threat next season.

Come summer 2026, we will need a CB, a Striker, a CB backup if Christensen leaves. If Jofre isn't good enough then another LB. We either buy a new LW or we buy Rashford for 30m on high wages.
Thats easily a 200m transfer window which we wont be able to do. We can maybe get a CB and a LW. Or a ST and a backup CB.

Damn shame Flick never was able to get a proper 10/10 squad or the players of his liking, like the managers of the team that are going for UCL get.

For this reason alone, this guy will be one of my Favorites, if not the best Manager I have seen in Football.

It's a pity that after this insane season he probably wont be nominated as coach of the year.

His nomination has the most likes in the manager category. I know these awards are not credible, and I don't expect him to win it but I'm still secretly hoping he does. lol

Don't know what's the criteria for selecting the best club of the year. If its merely based on the big prize, then you give it to QSG. But if its for non-stop exhilarating and exciting football over much of the season that won trophies and provided one of the best CL nights ever witnessed, then there is only one. Barca were the biggest entertainers in European football and attracted more audiences than QSG regardless of age and club allegiances.

Are you talking about the final between PSG-Inter here? Because it seems like you’re talking about us in this sentence but I can’t remember us doing anything of note in the CL. Unless you mean that we provided a great night for neutrals in being embarrassed by Inter?

PSG is gonna get it and for good reason. They dismantled Inter and gave them no chance, we stumbled around and gifted the tie to them conceding some of the most stupid goals you'll ever see at that level.

Mistakes cost when you want to be no1. We were easily 2nd best last season after PSG. Most entertaining for sure.

Embarrassed? Hahah

The final made people completely forget how good Inter was. Now history is being rewritten. At the time it was two european giants battling it out in an epic tie

Result of the final is a consequence of the fact PSG was of course better, but also the ENORMOUS advantages they had - physically and mentally

Inter weren't very good. They got a horrible record vs top 6 in Italy last season, trashed by Milan in the Cup, lost to Napoli in Serie A. Don't see any sign they were a top top side. But they are an italian team with experience in CL (unlike some of our players), and if you hand them cheap goals, they welcome them and say thank you.

They were thrashed by Milan and lost to Napoli because they made CL the priority. But their depth was horrible which is why doing something in cup or league was unlikely. They defeated Bayern. They won Arsenal in league stages. Team that goes to 2 CL finals in 3 years is a top side.

PSG had a full month to prepare for final because they won league in March. Inter was fighting everywhere until the last minute. And in last minute they lost it all which made them mentally fucked. I said before the final this is why Inter winning would be a miracle. There is no doubt even without this PSG would win but not by that result

We lost to a worthy opponent. Opponent who wasnt better than us, but still worthy.

How is it an embarrassment when you lose by one goal deficit? Never heard anyone qualify this loss as an embarrassment until today, ironically by a Barca fan no less.

The team, made of inexperienced youngsters, in the absence of starting fbs, put in a spirited performance on a big CL night in a tough away stadium. It was a display of grit and determination pushing a highly motivated side with crowd advantage till the very end. How can you not admire that? Yes, it was a historical CL night for neutrals but also one that the team can be proud of in the manner in which they fought back despite the setbacks.

QSG in comparison had one player in Pacho missing and got slapped by Chelsea. Come back when they can put in a gritty performance in a big CL fixture without the services of Hakimi and Mendes.

I'll wait.

Nothing to be embarrassed about in that loss, just a stupid way to lose and conceding so many against inter, when they couldn't beat any decent team that season, well maybe that part is embarrassing, but not really
