Inigo Martínez

Thinking about it, I understand the decision to let him go for a small fee.

- He is on big wages, which help for the ffp, especially if he leaves with a fee, which will be purely a profit since he came for free.
- He is a year older
- He is usually injury prone and it was a miracle, that he could play the last season without big injuries. Just look at his recent past.
- The club still has 4 CBs (Cubarsi, Araujo, Christensen, Garcia)

The only con I see is, that he makes a good pair with Cubarsi and perfectly executes Flick's demands on the high defense line. But I trust Christensen to do it too and Araujo we need to wait how the pre-season helped him here.

It's a bit risky, but I think this is a case where the club would sell a player at the perfect opportunity, instead of holding on to him for longer than necessary and lose money.

Most likely, Inigo himself wanted to leave. Perhaps he was offered a lot of money + he himself felt that he would no longer be able to withstand the dynamics of Flick's football.

No fee, then it makes the transfer a bit worse. But it still frees up around 9-10m salary, which is significant for the ffp.

If Flick trusts the 4 CBs we have left, it's good enough for me.

We still should have got something in return. Idiots can't even get a fee when our ex vice president is the president of a club that has limitless funds. You can't make that shit up.

Firstly I thought this is a deal from Laporta and Yuste so we get some of that Saudi money but now it just looks a standard idiotic Barca transfer.

He was just 2 years at barca, but made a bigger impact than many with 2-3 times that period. Thank you for last season and good luck warrior!
