He's always been a better goalscorer than CR7.
And far, far better at creative aspects.
And better mentality, as evidenced by being the man main in winning all the big competitions, - World Cup, CL, Copa, national league etc.

as said several times CR played as midfield player during his Manu time, thats why ppl were so surprised when they watched him in 2008, there was never a midfield player who score 42 goals in a season!!

At the start of 2008/09 season CR had 105 non-pen goals vs Messi's 45.
So according to you when CR stopped being a "midfielder" (which he wasn't), Messi still surpassed him.
He had more injuries in 2024.
And i think playing against European teams and SA teams in CWC sharpen him more

He is not getting enough credit for what he is doing because of the perceived weakness of the league he is in, but what he is doing at 38 is quite extraordinary.
A player so reliant on his dribbling is normally completely finished as a footballer by the age of 33 no matter what league he plays in. The guy is 38 and he is still out there dropping his shoulder, slaloming past defenders and breaking people's ankles like he was when he was 28.
It shouldn't really be possible. I called him out as the GOAT as early as 2009 and even I couldn't have imagined he would age so brilliantly. By all barometers, a penalty box poacher should age far far better than a player reliant on dribbling past players in order to score, due to the vast difference in difficulty between the two.
Ronaldo probably saw these final years as a way to break away from Leo on the statistics front. But Messi has remarkably managed to age better than Ronaldo. He really doesn't get enough credit for how dedicated he has been to his craft and especially how well he has kept himself in shape as he has aged.
