Don't think anyone (bar Birdy) is elated about this signing. Given the financial constraints, most fans are realistic about our options in the market. We are getting a player who's inconsistent but also knows this is last shot at a big club, so its not unreasonable to assume that he will try his best especially when playing alongside better players and under a no-nonsense manager who personally approved his signing. He could as well be a total flop but that's unlikely given he's joined an ultra-offensive side where even the likes of Ferran who was being ridiculed a year ago put up decent numbers.

I respect Mara's review on the player. Not a fan of the player myself but unlike some, I'm not gonna moan and act all doom and gloom even before a ball has been kicked. If it doesn't work out, Barca won't exercise the buy-option.

That's not the point is it, We are better of without anyone than players like these. We are a fucking joke as a club and Deco is here to dement it,
Yeah that was a strawman by Catta.

Not wanting Rashford doesn't make someone a transfer muppet who thinks only pie in the sky deals like Isak, Barcola and Konate are preferable. It's obvious you meant you're better off with no signing rather than Rashford, and I tend to agree.

He tried to put you down with a totally unrelated point that wasn't even in your thinking.. Pay him no mind - that's the level of poster he is. The guy is a fanny.

It's very clear (from someone who watches every United game, me) that certain people in here haven't watched him play much and are going by out of context stats, his hype in the English media, and highlights videos. His all-round game is absymal, even when he does score.

He's also much better against high lines because he needs space and to use his pace, which Barca won't play against as much. Though they are an effective counter team which suits him.

Even that much vaunted 22-23 season everyone goes on about was basically a burst of amazing goalscoring form from January to March by him. Either side of those months he was nothing great statistically. He's a fairweather purple patch player and people are falling for it.

And he's clearly way down the list of Barca targets but they're signing him because they failed with the rest. Barca are letting United out of jail free here for a season yet people here are celebrating like they've gone one over on United. Just unbelievable. They should have left him to rot there. it's a desperate signing.

To be honest, most Barca fan takes will be that he was great when Man Utd outplayed us in the Europa League a few years back.

Here's an example of a message I received about you, Birdy. To be honest, with how little you know about football, I am not surprised you have nailed your colours to the Rashford mast:

'Lol, he has a long list of horrendous takes.

Zirkzee, Ten Hag, Pochettino, Arteta, Rashford. Straight up horrific takes.

He's like the guy who thinks he's the cleverest in the room but everyone knows he is the fish. Would love to play him poker.'

This smells like a AkDon message!

As i often said dont forget guys he played for Manu, Manu!! a hopeless club

He has talent + he is only 27 and as someone mentioned world cup is next year so motivation is sky-high

Even Ferran Torres looked great in Hansi's system, imagine what he will do with Rashy

Part of the reason they're a hopeless club on the pitch is building around moments players like he and Fernandes, forcing them to play outdated counter-attack style in the 2020s.

tbf, they are crap since 2013 and they didnt play there in that year
True, but they're rubbish now too and a big reason for that is Fernandes (and Rashford in the past).

These guys force the team to play counter-attack football with their one dimensional need space styles of play, Hollywood ball spamming. It is never going to be successful. A smart club would get rid of them both and build around players with more to their game.
