Your arguments are childlike.

You don't need to spend money if you already have a defense that lines-up several CL winners in its composition. The reason we need to spend money for our defense is because we don't have that quality.

Why don't we have that quality? Well... because from Bartomeu era, we inherited defenders like Umtiti, Pique, Lenglet, Jordi Alba, Dest... A mix of retired players phoning it in, and bums.

And because we needed to sign players in our offense first with the levers, also because from Bartomeu era, bums in defense is not the only thing we got. We also got bums in attack and in midfield.

Rudiger being a free transfer doesn’t mean Real didn’t invest in defense.

If Barca brought Konate next summer, people wouldn’t criticize the club for not spending money or neglecting the back line.

Summer of 2027. Provided Camp Nou is finished as scheduled next summer. 2028 with 1 year delay. You need a full season with a full Camp Nou for the revenue to drastically increase.

Yeah, we sure about that imo. To not be sure about it would mean to put the equal sign between Montjuic and a brand new 105k stadium.

Talking of stadiums, amazing how Madrid can manage to not write that renovation off as a loss. And they haven't even got events in there currently because of noise pollution, which was surely factored into their projections for past season.

Just go and get Rashford on loan ASAP. He want to leave. Man Utd want him gone quickly. Make it happen so he can be a part of pre-season and make his adaptation process easier.

I would pass on it and basically give it a go if they end up desperate enough.

I would forget about offensive options, because none of the options are simple deals, and both players we're looking at are dead ends for me. Neither deal will likely happen in good terms for us.

Make moves in defense and leave the LW spot for later in the summer. And with that I'm out.

Then what is the solution then?

Luis Diaz isn't happening nor should it. I don't disagree with you. I think the Rashford issue could drag out until mid-August since Man Utd want to and kind of need to sell him.

But I wouldn't hold out hope for any other alternatives either. Leao is obviously not an option for them and I doubt younger guys like Fofana or someone else is either.

That's my point in response to Serghei, not spending a transfer fee doesn't mean you aren't investing or the players can't win a CL, as Madrid showed.

We 100% need a defender next summer.

We just don't need one this summer.

We need a LW this summer and a CB would be nice, but a LB would be even better.

What you are saying makes logical sense, serg on the other hand switches teams very summer as to which one we should copy based on who wins the CL.
