I don't think people quite realise just how bad our goalkeepers have been and just how detrimental that has been, especially in Europe.
The fact that people were salivating over Tek's mediocre performances says it all.
Joan has it all. Very well rounded goalkeeper who will surprise you all. Bar a few years of prime Bravo, our goalkeepers this century have been frankly pathetic. Nearly all looked like they had a game changing mistake just around the corner in them, at all times.
If Joan has the mentality for the big games, he can be one of the best goalkeepers in Barca's history ( though that is not as high a bar as it should be for the world's biggest football club. )

Don't hear anything about José Ramón de la Fuente getting the boot. He should be gone with MAtS but he's still leading and overseeing the goalkeeping drills. He's as much responsible for poor goalkeeping the past decade for failing to address the fundamental flaws in our Gk's technique. Imagine Joan gradually developing MAtS' signature moves because of our persistence with this dinosaur coach who has shown no evolution in his training methods in a decade.
