I think it was great for all of Messi, Xavi, Iniesta legacies to win a World Cup and 2 continental cups without each other
Kind of crazy when you think about it. Probably would be back to back World Champions playing together.
Aye they'd have won everything
And Xavi and Iniesta were the most talented players in that Spain team. It's not like they were carried to them trophies. Other world-class players like Silva, Ramos, Busquets, Alonso and Villa (Villa was really superb for Spain before the leg break) but they were the heartbeat of the side. They proved they didn't need Messi.
Then Messi won everything with Argentina long after Xavi and Iniesta were past their prime. He proved he didn't need Xavi and Iniesta.
So your point is correct. And totally destroys Ronaldo fans' arguments that Messi needed Barca or Xavi and Iniesta. And also proves at the same time that Xavi and Iniesta are underrated relative to Ronaldo.
Xavi and Iniesta won everything at int level, and so did Messi. What would happen if you put them in the same team? The answer is the greatest club team in football history
