And thats the point no. He didnt use both because they were sub par, and look how our front line was gassed out at the end of the season.
It was a miracle we didnt have any injuries to Raph and Yamal.
And now with this season we will have reduced minutes to Lewa.
Its even more reason to have players.

That's 8 players for 4 positions. That's the '2 players for a position' we always hear, and now people don't like such depth?
Obvisouly, Fermin and Ferran would be last in the pecking order. Then I have already predicted how much less Lewa is going to play (especially starting games) next season.
IMO, only Lamine is a certified starter for important games.
Then, between Nico Rapha Olmo and Rashy, there will be fight for 3 positions.
One will be benched each time along with Lewa
In LL rotations we will see Lamine playing much less than this season (he needs that, we can't afford risks), and Ferran-Fermin will also get minutes

Lewa, Ferran, and Fermin will be the ones used less both for quality reasons, but also for the fact that they can play only 1 of the 4 positions

You don't need two players for every spot, you need a solid core of 16/17 players and the rest is just guys who will never play or Youth players.
Having 22 players who all think they should be playing is bad for dressing room dynamics.
Else upfront where those players always have an ego.
Doing all that for rashford, after we sign Nico makes no sense, he would be our worse player in the front line based off the last 2 seasons.
