No way we sell a CB and not buy another one.
Our board is not this stupid.

There is no better RB in the market than Kounde. He is a top 3 player in his position. We can sell Araujo and use the money to buy a RB and move Kounde to CB.
Because he's the best of them.
As someone who's heavily critical of FDJ, this would not be a good decision. FDJ and Pedri pairing proved to be absolutely crucial in the latter half of the season.By the way, if they extend Frankie, there will be three players in position 6 - Cassado, Bernal, Frankie. What will they do with this? Why not squeeze Frankie out of the club?
We need a natural RB and Kounde is not that. There is no better RB in the market than Kounde. He is a top 3 player in his position.
I agree, this is a good answer. But i think, elite talent, will always beat speed as messi showed, as lamine shows. But it is very rare, one in 20 years.I see that my post implies that Lamine is fast, but I didn't mean to.
However, I didn't claim that he is slow in his top speed, that's how you mistakenly interpreted it. Speed here is in terms of explosiveness and ability to beat your man with the first step, which is far more important unless it is in terms of it counter attacks. Jesus lacks that.
Speed for a winger is an important physical trait, but I won't call it a death sentence as @FinBarcelonafan did.
However, it is one of those physical traits that make it difficult to overcome at the very top. It usually requires some elite or out of the world talent to overcome for a position like the winger.
It is a bit like height, people can always point out to Maradona, Carlos, maybe even Messi but those had insane amount of talent. It is far more likely to end up like Giovinco than Alexis Sanchez if you are below 1.7m
Lamine has elite talents in dribbling, creating for others and himself. He has unique ability to decelerate or accelerate whenever he wants, ability to change directions, ability to shoot from tightest places. Jesus doesn't show that tbh. I think he is more suited to slower pace La Liga and unlikely for the top 2 sides.
