1 - Marc-Andre ter Stegen

Horatio

You're welcome
We have to assume here this rumour is false right?

I would like it to be true, but feel a “the rumours have been completely fabricated. Don’t believe everything you read” tweet statement by one of parties involved.

Makes sense to me. This is what you get when one has a higher opinion of himself than what the reality says. You end up saying and doing many stupid things.

You can choose to think the club is fabricating (not leaking) these stories to push him out, or that these types of things is what convinced the club it's high time to end the terror. I know what is more likely to me.

We hold all the cards. There is no chance this guy is our starter unless he somehow has a miraculous 180degree turn. Win-win. We either get positively shocked by Stegen, or he's out. No chance he starts anymore while being his usual self, looking comical or freezing instead of trying to save shots that don't go straight at him.

Many leaks now.
Could be that club is using media to do the dirty work but Stegen did not travel to Milan like Kounde, for example and there have been odd articles pro Stegen by some journalist that cover cycling.

So shady media campaigns may be going both ways.

would make sense if the club owed him some deferred wages

If I remember correctly, there were talks he deferred some money to the 2nd part of his contract (for which he also agreed to take a pay cut)

But those could be BS

Yeah, there is surely deferred salay.

And we will surely pay him some money if he wants to stay in Europe as he will never earn the same in Europe. It is worth it IMHO assuming it is one payment and not something we pay for 5 years affecting our salary cap the Messi way.

Not a single big club is interested in one of the best keepers around? Surely there's a big club out there who rates him, we couldn't have been the only one.

I don't understand this whole discussion. Garcia is coming, and Ter Stegen is currently on the bench. He doesn't need to be told anything else. If he wants to leave, fine; if not, fine too. He has a contract, and it's his right to demand the money. Demanding a starting place is not his right. All this hate towards Ter Stegen is so bad; it shows the haters' own weakness. Ter Stegen isn't good enough, but he'll get what he's contractually entitled to. If he wants to play in the World Cup, he has to go.

There it is.
