The club lost all of its roots. The academy is not functional on EPL level and they blew all the big transfer relevance in the last decade.

What I mean is no Top 20 player on the planet would want to join Man Utd, unless he's a die-hard fan. The club has to start from scratch, like Arsenal did in a way. The difference is, as I said, the academy is long gone being productive.

What I meant was Zlatan and Pogba signings were part of this decadent process to make the club what it is today.

It didn't start with David Moyes or LVG, the roots of the problem were layed out with Alex Ferguson's late period. People made Arsene Wenger the butt of the joke, but his vision at Arsenal youth is still bringing results.

Them continuing to be bad on the pitch might not even affect their status and brand as one of the biggest (if not the biggest) club itw after Madrid.

They're like the Cowboys or Notre Dame where they took off in popularity at the right time and can withstand years or decades of struggles without their brand taking a hit.
