Maybe so but I've never liked the idea of big teams dropping down and winning Europa. This trophy would mean so much more to the likes of Bilbao for example as it did with Sevilla who usually ended up going back down anyway

Finishing 8th and winning the FA Cup to qualify for the Europa League, then finishing 16th and then winning the Europa League to qualify for the CL would be a pretty wild route to the Champions League by United.
