For example the Barca - Inter tie. It was without a doubt entertaining and I get it why people liked it. But let's not mix entertainment with good quality football.

The defenses of both teams were awful and control trough midfield was lacking big time. Barca battered a Inter team that eventually put 7 past them and won the tie. That's not good football from a technical perspective.

Aside from Yamal showing up big time, most of the goals scored were kind of shit.

But I get it that bar is low in football nowadays and we have to take what clubs have to offer.

I think about it more like both teams exploited the weaknesses of the opponent very well so eventually it got down to details

None of the goals were "shit" tbh, very well planned most of them

What do you mean by that? Precisely?

We will be figured out? Because I don't think we haven't been "figured out" already. Breaking Flick's offside trap, making third man runs, bypassing the high line... it's not rocket science, many teams have done it to us this season.

Yet the result? Domestic treble and a fairly brave and well-fought CL semi final exit.

The team is defensively fraile, no doubt. But offensively it is the biggest nightmare for every team. You can score goals but you are very likely to concede some as well. On top of that, by Flick's own words, they will seek for a way to make some defensive improvements in the summer.

So I simply struggle to understand what do people mean when they say this is not sustainable. We've been hearing that since he arrived and at mid-season, during our poor run of form, a lot of times... At this point seems like people just parrot what some football experts have to say

It's possible. We said Xavi football of 22/23 wasn't sunstainable and we saw what happened in 23/24.

Flick is the same, but in regards to the opposite side of the pitch.

We are basically reliant on three factors.

1) Cuba Gooding Jr having a linear progression and coming back from Summer even better.
2) Inigo maintaining his level and intensity.
3) Araujo with a full pre-season somehow turning into Van Dijk since we are not investing in one world class centre.

Barca ain't winning any of the big trophies next season if their transfer market consists of just ' adding depth '. People who want that and think the first Xi can just continue to dominate into a second season are really not being realistic.

You always have to keep things fresh, to mix things up, to make slight tweaks on how you play, in order to keep on winning. Even with a winning team.

Football history shows this and it's the biggest mistake managers make when they think they can just keep dominating forever with the same first Xi.

I'd like to see us replace Ter Stegen, Inigo and Lewandowski as starters next season.
