Neuer was pissed because he created a strong bond with tapalovic and croatia, even rakitic since gelsenkirchen days where rakitic and neuer played together. Aa a croatian im not that much familiar with his work, but being for more then a decade in bayern says a lot

He was highly rated by the other GKs there too from what I've read, but he had a big fall out with Nagelsmann and was fired for that.

Nagelsmann bayern stint or whatever was destined to fail because he was younger then some players(neuer is older 100%) and that maybe could be a reason for fallout. Not to mention authority/ego that some 35 year old guy dictates how you should do your job(tapalovic or coaching stuff)

No way in hell we are getting rid of Ter Stegen he will definitely do what Frenkie did and refuse to leave. Then being expensive he will be forced to play.

Luckily Stegens wagest are more in line being at 6m gross reportedly. At that amount we can afford to get a high quality prospect who benches him and forces Stegen to look for an exit next Summer.

He is the last of the amigo era. He will fight to death before leaving. Legendary.

Amigos hated him. You can say a lot about Messi, Suarez, Pique, but they know a talentless player when they see him, considering they were blessed with great football skills.

Amigos were players who used to be superstars until they lost some of that competitive edge due to winning almost everything during their career. Stegen didn't even get close to being an Amigo. He was a fraud pure and simple.

If Courtois for example starts to put in half assed efforts from now on... that's an Amigo. Not a bum like Stegen.

Real Madrid kicked out Keylor Navas who was very good and integral for them in their CL run, to upgrade to Courtois.

Liverpool have a succession plan in place for Alisson after signing Mamardashvili who I suspect will take over in 2026 or 2027.

Meanwhile at Barca......

We will see when finances are back tbh. We are still under stress because of the finances. So, I won't blame Laporta, Deco, and Flick too much if a top keeper is not signed. For now. Still don't know if Tek will stay or not.

It depends a lot on finances. It's not like we have some 150-200m to spend and we keep Stegen. Like in the past.

Maybe they surprise us and work on a keeper though, still have hope. Doesn't matter much how they spin it in the media, as long as someone better than Inaki, and implicitly Stegen, is signed. Call it a back up or whatever.

Amigo mentally wise. We kept the amigos a bit too long for our own good.
