CL Semi Final: Inter - Barca 4-3

We have very good offensive system, but after those matches im even more certain that we need to find left winger that would relieve preassure from Yamal. Raphinha is very good, but as a system player.

We should add someone with X-factor.

I know he has some flaws... but today Leao would do wonders. We have Raphinha for consistency, therefore i would risk buying Leao for rotational option.

More about individuals than the team tbh

individuals make errors when the systems fails.

If you look at that screenshot.

Raphinha should be covering with Martin.

Which would mean Cubarsi would be more central to potentially cut out the pass.

And we should have de Jong and Pedri around the 18 year box or close, so they could get back into the box as well to cover.

What that screenshot showed is a joke TBH.

Araujo fucked up, but that's secondary to what the real issue is.

What fans like to jump on players

There is no fkn way a player like Leao would accept being a rotational option, you're out of your mind

Araujo was supposed to leave for Juventus in the winter, you could have gotten 50 million for him. To score a goal next to you, a 38-year-old defender, who ran the whole match and then on the 4th goal, you are humiliated by Thuram's dribbling, my God, he better leave.
Thuram was dead as well. Also doesnt help Sommer had the best match of his life and pulled a Kameni on us. Inter also burried every chsnce they got. Its all extremely unfortunate. But we are all just tired of it always being the other side of the coin 10x in a row.

Compare this to what inter was doing with 2 minutes left or 99% of other teams in a semi final with a 1 goal lead and it tells you why we aren't in the CL final.
We had a counter at 3:2 with 5 players in the attack.
Raph was alone on the left.

Instead of time wasting, faking fouls or going with the ball near the corner flag and doing that classical shithousery when you waste time near the corner flag...

No, Yamal takes the ball and shots and goes for glory even though we had 5 players in the attack.

1) if he scored, it's 4:2
2) if he misses, it's 3:2, a counter and a potential 3:3
3) if he slows down and waste time, it's almost surely 3:2 for us and the end of the match.

But that's Barca.
A mix of egos, players with Neymar syndrome, defenders weak in the air, a few defensive blunders, eternal bad luck in key moments and that's it.

Really, as if this club never learns and never talks about tactics and playing smart in key moments.

Even when Yamal hit the post I was screaming for him to just go to the corner flag.

Remember that game where arsenal won against Madrid and Henry just for the ball and in the corner was waiting for a Madrid defender.

Game management, that's the thing that comes with experience and the coach telling you, hey relax we have this won, we don't need another goal.

Why in the actual flying fuck are we looking for a 2nd goal there?.

I can't understand brother, WHY DO YOU PLAY SO HIGH IN THE 93RD MINUTE WHEN YOU'RE LEADING? Inter defends with 9 men at the end because Thuram couldn't run anymore, and Barcelona remains in defense with 4 men when you're 2 minutes away from the final.
Because Barca defense is legit incapable of sustained defending

Many of us felt it. We fought, hoped and lost.

Going into the final vs. this PSG would've been so much more difficult than vs. Inter because of their offensive quality, coach, unlimited budget and freshness.

So it's better imo to lose in such fashion in the SF than in a final vs.freaking PSG and Dumbele out of them all.

Yeah, its the logical thing to do. I forgive Yamal cause he is a kid but this whole team was not playing ot smart. Inter parked the bus right after the 4-3. No way others would have lost like that with a few min too go.

That's such a hindsight call. If Yamal scores that it's over and he hits the post. I'll take 4 goals please.

You're welcome
I was on holidays in Spain and the Anfield 2nd leg made me consider throwing myself into the fucking ocean.

This isn't as bad but certainly very similar in terms of the pain.
The anfield one was way worse than this.

Anfield was humiliation. This was a spectacle. Think Barca regained a lot of respect with this showing and gain new fans.

Raphinha was in the counterattack with 5 teammates when Yamal decided to take the shot and expose us if we lose the ball.

So, nobody could track back.
Defense was left alone after our counterattack and lost ball.

I think we would've beaten QSG in the final. It would be the battle of the chokers, and I would be willing to bet serious money on QSG choking harder in a pressure match than Barca

I still would have prefered a final. Its been a decade and we are capable of beating them. It would also be way more fun. Now im in no mood to watch psg vs inter. As boring as bayern vs inter in 2010 imo.

Also think this mentally crushes is while we were running on funes going into el classico. Madrid will be waiting to capitalize and derrail our entire season.
