Trent Alexander-Arnold

Bellingham will be crashing the box for his crosses.

Will he interesting to see what they do with Dani.C who will think he has at least another year or two in him as a starter and wants to go out on a high.
Ceballos definitely adds a balance to their midfield. What lets him down is ability to remain injury free.

Madrid will need to buy a tall forward or a part of Trent’s best attributes will be irrelevant.

Can’t see him surviving at wingback for long, he’s mega slow and his tracking of players is non existent. At RB he has the time he needs to deliver the great passes he’s capable of.
Disagree. Mane and Salah were anything but tall. Bobby was never in the box for crosses from open play.

Although Mane had a good leap.

RCB in Alonso's 3 at the back? Basically Pavard's role at Inter.

No I know but Mane, Nunez, Gakpo etc chase everything like proper workhorses or have impressive physicality. They sorely lack that currently bar Bellingham in attacking situations. Mbappe and Vini make runs very sparingly and Mbappe lacks aerial threat anywhere whatsoever.

Feels like that one profile would benefit both Trent and Mbappe.

I agree that a targetman would benefit both but I think Mbappe would definitely chase balls in behind. That's his bread and butter. He made great runs when he played with Messi and in the last game when Guler played him in.

Trent's incisive passes will definitely suit Kylian.

FWIW I think they should sell the crybaby and get a proper targetman and a left footed RW.

Taller forward would also benefit Mbappe too. Always played his best playing off of one, e.g Giroud, Cavani etc.

Be interesting to see what they do in the summer in terms of a rebuild.
Thuram would be an interesting and appropriate target for their #9 role tbh.

Can definitely play very well as a support 9 to open up space behind him for Bellingham, Mbappe and Vinicius, good aerial presence and back to goal play, unselfish and creative.

It wouldn't surprise me to see Madrid making an offer and I believe Inter would accept if it was around 70m.

How about Sesko?

A new striker, plus those 3 won't work in Xabi's system, you would have to sell one of Vini or Mbappe

If not move Bellingham back to play alongside Valverde.

I haven't watched him for a while, but I followed him when he was breaking through and at that time I did not rate him as a world class talent but simply a great one.

I think he can be a great striker for a Europa League team or something in the future but I don't see him becoming a striker for Madrid or a world-class team.

What is clear is he is an absolutely exceptional athlete and probably one of the best athletic talents at this level of football. He was made to play sport. He is also a very composed and delicate finisher. However, I think he relies too much on his sprint speed and power to create space for himself and he takes too many touches. He doesn't have the tactical aspects of his role you would expect at a world-class level, his back to goal play and movement has a lot to improve. This is why despite his great finishing ability and pure athleticism his goal production is not close to what you would expect it to be.

In a league such as the Bundesliga where teams attack and play with higher lines than in other nations, and where it is a high scoring league in general, his numbers are a bit surprising considering how much he has to work with in terms of physical and technical talent. This is because of his flaw in game intelligence.

His xG this season is only 10.8 in the Bundesliga which is very concerning. Top strikers are expected to have a very high xG by default and its a very good marker of what strikers will turn out to be goalscoring machines. Playing for an attacking and highly ranked team in the Bundesliga, he should be getting into far better positions than he is and reaching many more chances, but he isn't. If he is not getting many chances at Leipzig in the Bundesliga, will he get them at Madrid in LaLiga or in the Premier League? The natural answer is no. This is what distinguishes someone like him from someone like Haaland, Haaland has similar physical attributes and actually worse technique but is simply far smarter with his movement.

TLDR : Great athlete, great finisher, but seems tactically very inept, and that is one of the very important attributes an attacker must have to be successful in production.

What's up with the hate? Did he do something?

He was going to move eventually, he's been at Liverpool for a looooong time.
