No matter how it unfolds the very fact Lewa was able to compete with prime Mbappe for the pichichi at 37 is outrageous

And he even suffered a goal drought during our poor form, had like 1 goal in 8 league games

Not surprising considering he is still quality in front of the goal, while his deficiencies due to his age have been largely negated due to exceptional Yamal and Raphinha playing absolutely incredible season way above his level. Also Pedri played like a prime Xavi out there, while the actual mindfuck being he remained healthy whole season despite also drastically increasing his play tempo - unlike under Xavi.

Celta were inches from the 3-3 and had better throughballs than Real

Change the highline for a mid one and this will confuse them as they like to sit back and counter fast.

And don't foul 🐢 if he gets past you! Whenever he accelerates in short spaces, apart for his curler, he typically fails to control the ball & either skies it or a weak shot.

3-1 vs Inter
5-1 vs Réal

Flick has a system set up where we score many goals and Lewa is benefiting the most from it.
It certainly helps him he doesn't have to press like the rest of his teammates and that Raphi and Lamine are kings of assist.

Having said all that it's obviously a feat. A swan song of sorts.

His overall game is atrocious though. Not strong on the ball, not menace in air, barely 2 assists entire season plus has to be carried all the time as he can't run and press.

I'm not following who's scored more goals or made assists. I enjoy and proud of this team, because it has never give up mentality. It was kind of like that last season with Xavi, but we lacked in stamina then.

Real Madrid are no match for us this season, because we run more than ever. Again mentioning Xavi who said last year "we don't have the quality, have to run 110%". It's what made Jurgen Klopp succesful at Liverpool, his team seemed to have lungs for 150 minutes of football.

Thus I think Flick created something special at Barca - a team that combines total-football with the German school of football. It might not win the CL in its first year (although we're close), but the recipe is there and I'm sure success will follow in the coming years.

We need to win the Clasico at home. If we beat them 3 times already away and on neutral grounds, no reason we can't do it again in better conditions for us with our fans behind us. Best them and finish the league.

It could be 'easier' this time since their enitre back line is depleted.
