CL Semi Final: Inter - Barca 4-3

Bad of course. I can smell the mismatching offside traps.
I was thinking the same thing , you have to be perfect when playing the offside trap. With these four, there's a lack of refined routines, automatisms, and shared experience that only come from playing together game after game. But in my opinion, it's a risk worth taking. Our lack of height (in aerial duels, crosses) and physicality was a decisive factor.

I'd much prefer to have Inigo and Cubarsi in the middle.

I don't trust Araujo centrally.

Play Araujo/Eric/Chirstensen as FBs.

Not ideal, but it's not like Inter have any pace to hurt us on the wings. Those 3 should be able to handle it.

agree more chance of red with Araujo in middle

I wouldn't even start him and go with Christensen and Garcia FB

Think the same.
Inter scored 2 goals from corners in the first game, and had a couple of occasions in transitions that looked dangerous

Take away their corner threat, I think they can score max 2 goals from counters.
But we can easily outscore them

Why not Araujo on the right? Isn't that better than Eric?
He was a few games under Xavi's tactic against Vinicius, since Xavi needed a pure defender against him. We need someone who can also attack and Eric is better suited here, as he's more agile.

Eric has been very good in midfield too when asked to play there.

He's a much better passer than Araujo and is more likely to be a far better creative outlet and build up player in the RB position.

Eric for RB would also be my pick. Against RM Araujo can be the RB to stop vinicius and turtle, but Inter doesn’t have a threat on the LW that Eric can’t handle.

Wether Inigo should be our LB is harder to say as it weakens our CB pairing and he offers maybe even less than Martin offensively I’d say.

Inter most goals come from set pieces
We knew that and fuck up in the first leg ..
Time to correct this and put the big guys on.

Agree, if we don’t concede more stupid goals from corners, and Raphina and Ferran has a good night, then we will most likely outscore them.

Lamine will drag a ton of defenders and produce a few good chances, up to the rest of our attackers to take advantage.

Fuck! Huge blow. Hope its mindgames and he still starts.

I think it will be extremely tough to beat Inter. It can easily end up in a loss or go towards extra time or penalties. Still excited to see this fixture though.

I prefer we start like this in defence then from right to left:

Araujo, cubarsi, christensen, martinez.

Hopefully lewa will start. Atleast we will have some height on set pieces then.

I wouldnt start Lewy, we could go to penalties after 120 minutes and i wouldnt like to go into this penalty shootout without a lewy

Bring him in second half
