19 - Lamine Yamal

No, which is why I will not be worried. If his attitude is bad we will see more of it and an outburst will follow soon. If it does and we need to make some things straight.

I am not worried either.
The overwhelming evidence suggest he's a professional and a good kid based on what his coaches and people that worked at La Masia, as well as his team mates have said.

Now things can change when people get more attention, more money and status, but we would have heard about those issues by now considering someone like Pique's adventures off the pitch was well known.

Right now it's guilty by association based on people disliking his father

Would be worse if he was happy to have played like that and come off.

Yeah, of course. I hope this is the case and he doesn't think he should have stayed on and that he was signalled as the problem. It wasn't the case. He kept making the same mistakes offensivelly over and over again in this match and he was sacrificed first because defensively he is not as good as Raphinha, as bad as Raphinha was.

Fair point, but if he was acting like a diva I'm sure there would be some talk about it already.

Let's not pretend there were no signs months ago.

It's in everyone's interest to help Yamal keep his feet on the ground and limit the noise around him (social media, press, family).

Could potentially blow up and get much worse once he turns 18 and few more restraints he had are gone.

We'll see. Hoping someone steps in and helps him.

All players want to stay on really. Its no issue for him to be pissed off at coming off.

Top players always are.

I would guess every player walked off that park pissed off tonight from subs to starters playing 90 mins.

Yes, but he is still a kid, with childish brain, who got thrown in superstardom abruptly.

A lot can go wrong if the people that are close to him don't handle this well. It's another problem if his father is an idiot. Family helps a lot.

Should he be happy after a game like that? He’s still a kid, of course he’ll focus on himself.

Nothing to see here tonight, I’ve seen worse this season.

Of course.
Like I said it could change, but his agent is competent and will protect what is probably his biggest asset now and I'm sure the club will put a lot of resources in protecting him from people that could influence him in a bad way.

1. His father is an idiot
2. he is 18 soon and off his mother's supervision.

As I said, could get much worse.

Yeah, the good part that will help him is that kids get over things quickly. I think the signs are quite normal.

Basically normal teenager behavior. If it gets out of hand we will address it when it happens. But it's like that when you are a kid, you tend to think in the moment and make everything worse than it is.
