[Barça U19 have qualified for the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey after eliminating Damm 4-3 on penalties (1-1 FT score).

Guillem Víctor, right back and Pau Víctor's brother, scored the equaliser.

After saving his last penalty, Áron Yaakobishvili scored a Panenka to win the game. ]

Barcelona have reached an AGREEMENT with Aron Yaakobishvili (goalkeeper) for the renewal of his contract. The tough negotiations made his exit seem likely at one point, but things have now shifted. [@javigasconMD]

These GKs need to be loaned out and see how they get on outwith Barca.

Could make a lot of money from them even if dont make first team as exact profile top clubs are looking for.

Cant be having these lads getting to early/mid 20s like Pena and no one really having seen them play at any decent level then being called up to cover Barca first team.

Bar few months loan that didnt go all that great that is about all experience Pena had.

I think best case is Kochen should be loaned, Yaakob to Barca B, the Iker guy to Juvenil A. Astralaga as new 3rd GK for Barca permanently or keep both Tek and Pena and sell Astralaga for future % of sale

Astralaga at 3rd choice is a waste and anyone doing that job should be getting minutes at Barca B at times probably also.

There is no way Barca would rely on Astralaga if came to it is the issue. Just a dead spot.

Be as well trying to get in some veteran on a pittance and letting Astralaga go and try to develop.

Might be an idea to see if we can loan Kochen to MLS (hello Inter Miami).

He's been part of the US Soccer training camps and will make a push to be in their hosted WC squad for 2026.

What better way than to be under their gaze while getting first team experience for our benefit.

With Yakoob staying, he could be the B keeper until Iker is ready.

I watched a bit of Kooby and Kochen lately, and one thing I will say is that Yakoob looks a tad more sturdy.

So basically what I'm hearing from all this is one way or the other we are set in goals for at least a decade.

Sweet

That is the point.
Clubs now are interested on having a 3rd GK in the bench, it isn't something I agree about, but they do it anyway.
Astralaga isn't going to make it here, and not going to get us any money. Either keep him as 3rd GK and don't waste the next in the line with that, or keep all 3 current GK

Players cans still develop to be of more use to club than just waisting a spot on a young player like that.

Wouldnt serve any purpose for him or club really. Unless he is just happy to be there on pennies.

Who do you suggest for 3rd GK then? Considering the club is clearly keeping it this way?

3rd keeper strategy could be to rotate the B's weekly and have the one who doesn't play on the bench for the A that week.

That way you don't need to keep a non playing 3rd like Astralaga (loan) and keep two prospects developing and motivated at the B.
