Barca Transfers and Rumors

Than we're better of just not signing anybody. IF we manage to sell for example
Laporta just said, Barca will not make big moves in summer (topic was Haaland), just team players.
Last couple of matches proves we have more than alright players, just get a good coach and DM and we good for next season. If Felix isn't loaned again we need a backup LW, I just hope Cancelo stays (bought or loaned again).

Make sense, just follow the club filosofi. Buy players that about to explode. City have done that very well, maybe with some luck, players need to have the right personality in Barca as well.

Wish the club in long term get Txiki and Ferran Soriano back.

Could be a good cheap option...

Some twitter folks said he is Flick choice for the position, but I failed to trace the rumour to any real source.
Watched highlights, read stats, watched like half an hour from Koln vs Stuttgart (Stiller) and he is a pure destroyer, and when I say pure, I mean he lacks ability to do more tbh.
He will be essentially a Christensen without achilis pain. For the price that could be worth it and we could afford that with Cubarsi integration.
I just don't feel Barca ego will allow getting someone like that.

He is like that super hot girl in the street that every single man wishes he could wife up, whereas her husband at home is absolutely sick to death of her due to her moaning all the time and how plain she looks without the make up.

Leah is a myth. An illusion. Some club will fall for it and pay 100m and regret it forever. Please let it not be us.

You could say in such example that the husband is a guy is sick, thinking he was tricked into something not good, when she is moaning like most wives and still better than most without make up.
There is simply too many players who are called frauds or whatever by their fanbase when they are very good players. Raphinha is a prime example for Barca, statistically our best goal contribution per minute and half of the fanbase can't wait to get rid of him. Other than Mbappe and Vini, that is same complaints for half fanbases.

Leao isn't worth 100M+ but he is still one of the top LW out there in Europe. Even with all his undeniable issues.

Huh? City?

They have so many huge advantages. They spent over 1 billion on their squad. Just not a good example for anything that fits the "built a top team on a budget" scenario.

Current City is a good example for those idiots, Rosell and Barto, what they should have done in 2012. Back in 2012 they had a dynasty on their hands, the total package, everything any elite club can dream of, and they burned it to the ground.

The frustrating thing is that if we could work in peace and without politicising decision making, we actually have an incredible base to work a lower budget (transfers) footballing model successfully.

We should probably, finally, consider the option of Rabiot on a "free".

We could do alot worse considering that FdJ and Gundy when fit we seem to be playing a hybrid midfield and rotation at DMC.

I believe the club has done very nice in the last years if looked at our situation. Problem is many haven't adjusted to the new conditions.

I can understand this on an emotional, not-so-mature fan level.

Whether we'll get Oduro or not I do like club's efforts to sign African talents. Should also focus even more on South America too. Not so much on Brazil where youngsters are overpriced (and most also overrated) but countries like Uruguay (they were usually known more for their CBs and strikers but also had some pretty good midfielders over the last decade) and Ecuador. Maybe Colombia and Chile as well although both of those countries seem to struggle to produce quality youngsters lately. At least looking at their national teams they are full of older/oldish players. Doesn't mean we can't find a hidden gem somewhere though.

Frankly, Brazil is actually more reasonable with their talents than other SA. Players in Uruguay and such push their players to the highest bidder and give no shit to their future and agents work for the same purpose. Now those "cheap"
talents simply go for extra couple of millions than the price European clubs would pay, to go to Mexico and MLS or even the Middle East, and fuck their career over. You are simply asking B team to compete with those clubs tbh.
Brazilian at least has their head in going to Europe.

Most elite SA talent is from Brazil and Argentina. Overwhelmingly so.
Uruguay and Ecuador, Colombia and Chile have a player here or there, but I don't see why any club would spend most of their resources there rather than the aforementioned countries.

Someone like a proper DM in like 12 years or any DM in like 7 except Vidal for some games? Why do you tink Bayern humiliated us twice when Messi and yhe midfield were not superhumans?
Because Busi and others were actually atrocious. Busi was fine except when there was a fight to win or a race to win or some headers in the box. But with time this problems got worse as he was old and in no shape for years.
We should stop this madness of judging defensive players for their offensive output.
That should be a surplus.
I don't know if we should get this guy but we should get a proper DM who can run and fight.

A DM is a midfielder though, and not just a "defensive player"
He is the one who provides a passing outlet to our defense, he is the one who is most responsible for protecting the team from pressing.
there is a reason it became one of the most expensive positions and there are rarely any of those who are pure ball winners.
Oriol is statistically a great ball winner btw, and he is atrocious here for those reasons.
I am not against the idea of getting someone who is more of the defensive side, but he needs to do the basics for a midfielders in terms of ball retention, passining, opening of pasing lanes
