United have some interesting young players like Shae Lacey and Jack Fletcher.

They honestly should try to sell some deadwoods like Rashford, Antony and Bruno. Then promote some of their academy players and buy an actual CM/CDM or 2 (like Exequiel Palacios and Enzo Barrenechea).

Fighting for top 4 is absolutely where united should be. Arsenal, City and Liverpool are all 5+ years into their well-funded projects. United are 1.5 seasons into theirs. Prior to ETH arriving they had a bang average squad, didn't walk into a squad with KDB, Silva, Kompany, Toure, Sterling etc.

Lol. They played CL quarters and finished 2nd under Ole tenure a few years before Ten Hag took over.

Arsenal didn't play in CL for ages by comparison. Can't seriously compare United with Arsenal. United are a huge money club that has been poorly managed, and Arsenal are only a big club that are managed great, closer to Liverpool actually.

You're welcome
Yes, clearly.
This was a fair result.
I was referring to the pattern in general. UTD got results they shouldn't so far
What statistics you base that on if I may ask? You say players bail him out but Onana had long line of howlers that cost them games. Attackers are also wasteful with the opportunities they get. They do create chances.

I hope Xavi gets appointed in Ten Hag's place so we can see your theories crumble in real time.

That's just completely irrelevant. ETH and Xavi are both 2-3rd tier managers.

The problem of ETH is that in his league, there are 3 tier 1 managers he has to fight against, and he's just not as good as them. Despite having more money on his hands than all of them.

If you look at United's spending power, they must be close to no1 next to Chelsea..., if their management is elite, they should be among the teams to beat in England. Not trying to make top 4. Valid for Chelsea too.

Making top 4 should be mandatory objective for these huge spending teams. It's a disaster if Aston Villa makes top 4 instead of United, and Chelsea. Even Tottenham should be under huge pressure to make top 4.

Yeah ole finishing 2nd was a really good result for them. Anyone claimed otherwise?

Sometimes I think you just write stuff regardless of what you’re replying to. Yes Arsenal are being managed very well, from recruitment to manager. United are being managed poorly from recruitment to manager too. ETH isn’t changing it up based on players at his disposal, not that they’re any good.

If some random prem club spent 1bn this summer on average players that should cost no more than 400m would you say they should be challenging for the league? Nope. That’s what United have done.

They have a squad as good as 4th-6th place. Results-wise in the league they are where they should be considering squad quality and competition.

Nope. They are seriously under expected metrics. They should finish 4th easily, and they should have beaten Copenhagen and Galatasaray in CL fairly easily too.

Should be fairly close to Arsenal, Liverpool and City trio as well tbh.

Same as Barca actually. Also under expected metrics. Should be above Girona on 2nd and closer to Madrid than 8 pts. Barca did better in Europe though.
