Nah not downplaying at all.

But to claim he 'saved' Barca is false.

As said can judge his decisions as good outwith those dramatics.

Keep the clued up claims like 'Barca had 1.4 billion salaries'.

Top stuff.

Suits you to think thats what Laporta came in to and 'SAVED' Barca from.

Or keep lies like 'Covid only fucked Barca' as if no comment made on anything else.

Both suit you.

I love how you the bartomeau fan club, who now act as if they weren't, like to act as if covid only happen in Barcelona, covid happened to every single club in Europe and none were close to being as affected as us, why?!!

bcause covid wasn't the cause of our downfall, incompetent leadership by the people in charged was, no other club leadership was dumb enough to do the things that was happening in Barcelona.

If their man bartomeau was still in charge, he would have spent another half a billion on transfers, increase our wage bill to 1.4 billion dollars and wining jack shit in the process.

That's what the great joan Laporta SAVED us from INCOMPETENT LEADERSHIP!!!

Leadership something I've been talking about on this place for years.

Just like he SAVED us from incompetent leadership the first time around.

Twice the man has taken over from total retards that were running the club & brought us back to winning ways, TWICE!!.

Build the man a freaking statue.

True, without COVID we would still be going down because of some of the stuff Bartomeu did, after Neymar's departure but it wouldn't have been that bad without COVID. So sure, Bartomeu was the underlying problem, COVID was the icing on the cake, but still a very detrimental factor.

I don't think anybody is arguing how bad Bartomeu was. People are contesting the notion that Laporta "saved" the club, which is horse scheisse. If you say simply because Bartomeu is not here anymore and thefore we are saved from his INCOMPETENT LEADERSHIP, then you could say the same about Font and Freixa or anybody else, because anybody who is not Bartomeu would have "saved" us, right?

Laporta simply hasn't done enough to warrant the savior or statue. What did he do to deserve a statue? What leadership? Driving business professionals away from the club and filling positions with his family members and friends and business partners? Mortgaging the future?

I don't need to have this debate with you, crushed you in the debate of leadership & it's importance too many times over the years, Mrs it's the board 😅😅🤣, don't waste my time on this.

But I gotta say I love how you always draw to the most obvious crap in debate to try and make your silly little points, 1.4B 🤣🤣, no shit we couldn't do that you fucking loser of a man, clearly that was meant to illustrate how bartomeau kept on increasing our wage bill while being at the club.

Such a fucking loser, anyways bye Mr. It's the board, I'll never debate you on a matter of leadership, you have no idea what you're talking about in this subject matter.

Aye crushing it to be as clueless to claim Barca had a '1.4 billion wage bill' that Laporta saved Barca from.

Numpty.

You read a headline about debt and didnt even understand what were reading and tried to pass it off as 'salary' payments.

As usual absolutely no clue.

Took out loan to raise cash and pulled levers.. to spend 200m+ to add to players inherited such as MATS, Aruajo, FDJ, Pedri, Dembele, Gavi, Balde etc.

Well played and got rid of some that needed to go.

Haha aye the 'idiot' would be the one who doesnt understand the figures and thought Barca had 1.4billion wage bill that Laporta saved Barca from.

Keep up the 'heres what I really meant' spiel after your latest numpty statement.

Actually Bartomeau might have spent another billion on transfers & increase our wage bill to 2.8b.

Make it 1.5b and 5.6b.

You can never debate without trying to twist words can you? It's cool I understand you need this shit to give you life significance.

Little little man.

Bartomeu and COVID fucked us, and indeed Laporta inherited a mess, but to say Laporta "saved" us is ludicrous. Sporting-wise the addition of Christensen and Kounde is great, yes, but not enough to turn things around, especially in Europe. Financially he basically mortgaged our future, and this new payment scheme for the 1.5 billion new debt for Espai Barca has received nothing but criticism, time bombs basically.

Absolutely not. No amount of levers activated could have saved the club from those wage bill.

Maybe delay it, for an year. That's it.

But right now it's been saved.

Stop being clueless and listening to clueless posters.

Nonsense.

Amyone in that position was doing what they could to decrease the wage bill at that point. There was no other option and started before that anyway with likes of Suarez being forced out as soon as things had to go that way.

Semedo fucked off for 35m odd. Arthur left albeit inflated deal. Rakitic was made to leave. Vidal was made to leave.

Nothing was 'saved'. That summer and the next season was further move to reduce the wage bill as had to happen. The club had no choice bar a CVC deal they almost signed and backed out of.

Espai needed to be done because that is deal, they could not get out from that deal.

Laporta has done what he could done, maybe he should not pay so much for Lewa, but other transfers where good.

Joan Laporta is and always was a hack, he was lucky to have Johan Cruyff to lean on back in 03-10 era, every good decision Laporta ever made was thanks to Johan Cruyff, every single one. Now it is patently clear Joan is a joke, just like Bartomeu, Rosell and Gaspart. For all the shit that was thrown on Nunez, at least he did not send the club into receivership like all the hacks following him.
