Barca Transfers and Rumors

So many potentially exciting players in the world and we're obsessed with signing guys like Arnau Martinez and Zubimendi. This Spanish generation of players is the worst I've seen. There are a few exceptions sure, but most of these guys are painfully average.

I amtelling you now, Zubimemdi is so shit and average that is so painful to watch even yt highlights.

And price of 80mil is joke.

I would rather watch Busqets 3 more years then Xavi spends money on CDM that has Eric Garcia body.

I will take Kante without one leg or Jorginho.

Why not to spend money on Enzo Fernamdez?

Ohh wait he can tackle, run like horse and has aggression, that is not bArCa dNa.

Spot on. Zubimendi would be mistake.

Zubimendi and Arnau Martinez, I tried to watch some yt comps amd I could not see single talented move from this two in yt highlights.

Thats how average are they.

Slow, weak, no shooting trait, non excisting agression or acceleration.

Xavi will put last nail in coffin.

60m for Zubimendi??? What a joke. Xavi has zero talent ID. Thinks he can replicate Peps Barca in 2022, even Pep has learned and play stronger players.

Imagine Zubimendi-Gavi-Pedri in CL next season 😂😂 another embarrassing incoming

Don't waste those 60m man when players like Enzo Fernandez and Bruno Guimaraes are on the market.

Arnau Martinez when Malo Gusto, Vanderson and Pedro Porto are available 🤣🤣

Bring in Arteta man

[Cadena Ser] Atletico Madrid places 4 players on the market: Felix, de Paul, Lemar and Carrasco. They need 2 to leave so they can strengthen in January and balance the books after exiting the CL

Probably too expensive for us anyway.

After Arda and Griezman... pass the salt please :boss:

Not a big fan of Zubimendi, but Arnau Martinez looks decent. Only issue I have with him is whether we really want another inexperienced player in the starting 11.

And hell no to Felix. Great player (occasionally), but another 2nd striker we have no place for.

Arnau fits what Xavi wants as a defensive fullback, who can occasionally make a good play in attack. He is a bit like a younger, cheaper Foyth.
That said, he is fairly limited on offensive end, in comparison to the players Riordon mentioned at least.

he could be a fine purchase I guess, but...
1-You need at least one very good offensive FB, so far Barca best one is Alba who will be 34 by the time Arnau arrive. I don't trust Balde to be a consistent threat to warrant bringing a defensive RB.
2-When Xavi get replaced (which will happen in summer at earliest, 2026 at most, Arnau will be 23 in his last season in such most optimistic scenario) what will happen if another Barca coach don't approve such defensive FB?

Overall, for the price he is a good purchase. 20M is decent even for back up FB

How's Arnau's pace?

Is Pavard a fair comparison to his play style?

Best person to ask about Arnau is Messi983 who watched him alot.

From the few games I seen, solid in defence, OK technically and non-existent in attack, with average pace. Basically if Palencia ended up a LaLiga level talent, he would be called Arnau Martinez.

I don't have a problem with him being an option. He can clearly has room to grow and is hanging well at a young age in LaLiga.

But I would rather we took the time to scout a fullback with world class potential.

Zaha would fit Xavi tactic of give the ball to the wideman and inshallah to be fair.

As for Zaha himself, deserves another shot at a top club. And this season he is sitting on something ridiculous like 8 G/A in 12 for Crystal Penis.

Not an outlandish move for us or Juventus (who will probably be interested in free).
