They're going to let one of their main players go so late in the transfer windoe with the season starting on the weekend? I don't see it personally. That's also ignoring all the changes made to the squad already and the risk that brings.

Not sure why you think Romero meant Mendes either. Laporta already met with him and our interest in Bernardo is nothing new. So it's probably linked to a player (his agent) we were not connected to yet.
