Not sure if other clubs proposed better offers than ours, I doubt it. We are offering him a 3-year contract and most likely quite a lot more than what he is getting at Bayern (24m), doubt if another club will offer him those terms, given his age.

But yeah, we are definitely one of the biggest clubs, despite all the financial problems of late, so players want to come.

As to how we can afford him, I wonder how the heck we can afford his wages. What happened to our salary cap?

No other club likely made an offer as Lewandowski told Chelsea, PSG and Man Utd(lol) that he didn't want to join them so don't bother.

hELLLLL YEAHHHHHH!!! Really Pumped about this signing... the Mercato is perfect so far, we just have to sell some player now, still work on the defense but Raphinha, Lewa... it's so nice to have them

Bayern plays much more efficiently and effectively than us, I think those who assume Lewandowski can just drop in, plug and play and score a ton of goals will be disappointed. Not to mention his effectiveness is bound to go down as he ages.

Not to mention our midfield and defense, with no major improvement in my opinion. They will still leak goals and Ter Stegen will still freeze.

If Gavi and Pedri have major break throughs (I am talking from good players to class/world class) we could be fine in midfield.
