One of the creative players today, but he lasts 70 minutes a game every time. Needs to work on his fitness.

I see shades of Busquets in him, not just play style wise, and those sweet turns, but he's also similarly underrated like Busquets was when Pep promoted him to the first team, everyone much more praising Gavi, who is younger and already better and of course while Gavi absolutely deserves the hype, I feel that Nico will become just as important for the team as the years go by. I see his future at CDM, but a more progressive style CDM with attacking runs also being made from time to time. We need to move on from this 'static CDM playmaker' with no pace anyway, need a big, technical, but also physical profile there after we finally move on from Busquets, it's just the kind of football these days, much different than it was when Busquets was breaking through.

He is a baller, so talented. I have a feeling he will also be a late bloomer.

I feel this. He is going to develop at the speed of an oil tanker. But he has a big potential that is going to both frustrate and impress the Barcelona fans along the way.

Hes sometimes a bit too much of a passenger though. Always looking for tbe simple option who he relies on to create, when he has the ability to take actions himzelf. Dembele when hes playing, Puig today.

Gavi is something else though. I can only imagine how good Gavi would have been today in Puig position, though Puig put in an impressive shift.

He should take a lesson from Rodri. He looked too heavy for few seasons with City, but lost some weight and became quicker/faster. Looks like a different player this season. Great improvement. I see the same problem with Nico. He needs to drop few kilos, gain muscle and become faster/stronger/quicker and he could be very very good.

Rodri improved so much in off-season just by improving physique for his role.

Nico has great potential.

Can't seem to compare him to another player. Don't know if I'm missing anyone when trying to think of somebody.

The Gavi's, Pedri's, Riqui's are easy to compare with the small wizards football's had over the years.

But Nico is a weird case. It's like he's one of those players mentioned above trapped in a big body.
He's surprisingly mobile, even if his physique gets in the way his intentions sometimes. Not a defensive rock either as he feels clumsy at times, but it seems to be the case with most up and coming players that are of BBZ heights.

It's his birthday today btw, not a teenager anymore. Congratz!

True, but if he learns to use his body to his advantage he could be better than those smaller guys. Height is an advantage after all, if you don't lose those other qualities smaller players have.
