CL | Round 6: Bayern Munchen - FC Barcelona 3-0

Maybe recent years have made me too pessimistic regarding this club but I think Bayern at full strength in 2015 would have beaten us.

Lucho got lucky that Robben, Alaba, and Ribery were out so they had bums at both fullback positions and no pace or width in attack.

I do not think it really was Robben and Ribery that were the problem but the midfield in which all came back from bigger injuries and had to go through a load of matches without really the chance to have rests. And the foul from the Cup semifinals some days prior in which Lewy got injured and had to wear the masks. The whole time with Pep actually was overshadowed with a lot injuries.

Robbery were declined by 2015.

We beat Man City x 2, AM x 5, RM x 2, Bayern, PSG x 2, and Juve in 2015. 12 W out of 13 G and were leading at HT in that 13th game before the Suarez sub. Home or away didn't matter.

Unlike EV, Lucho actually wins big trophies.

Nahh never 2015 Barca was waaay better than Bayern in full power. 12/13 Bayern would have had a chance against us but not 14/15 team and we would have easily won the away match if the team doesnt go in chill mode in second half, we didnt even try anymore.

2014/2015 Barca v 2012/2013 Bayern would be a crazy match and basically a toss-up.

Prime MSN would absolutely maul their CB pairing.

But prime Robben would maul Alba. And Alves would have a very tough time against Ribery. Their striker position was kind of weak.

Midfield about even. Although I like ours a little bit more because Iniesta and Busquets (especially) were top class. Rakitic was also world class that season.

They have a decidedly advantage in GKs though.

that match would make the TV'S explode. I think we would win but very very close. Peak MSN is too strong for any defence.

Yeah know that. Peak Suarez 2013-2016 was something else. The two passes to Ney to score the goals were also perfectly timed. #BeastSuarez

I give Lucho a lot of credit for that as well. We basically set up in RM's counter attacking mode in the away game.

Messi won the ball in our half or slightly in their half -- > Pass to Suarez --> Pass to Neygoal

Both times.

So whats the play for this game?

Some form of a 343/352-K4Special?

Crowd the midfield, have Gavi run his wee legs off and bring on Juan Ramon Puig'uelme in the last 20 to destroy them with through balls to Dembele

--- Stegs ---
Mingueza-Pique-Eric
Araujo-------------Alba
---Gavi-Busi-Frenkie---
---------Nico (>70< Puigelme)-----------
---------Dembele-------

Araujo as a winger is not the first choice for me!
There is talk about Fati risking it? Are there any hints of Depay not being on the pitch for a second time this season? Is your entire lineup done "ironically"?

I do hope Puig, Gavi and Busquets all play, Frenkie and Nico can do it too. It's a bit hard to pre4ict what Xavi will do, but I expect him to have some specific plans that might surprise us.

Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann has confirmed that Goretzka, Kimmich and Gnabry won't play against Barcelona tomorrow. Hern?ndez isn't expected to start either.
Sabitzer and Choupo-Moting are also ruled out.

no fans in the stadium, no key players. shaping up nicely for us.

only thing standing between bayern not giving a shit about the result and us winning, is that frustrated pole with his ballon d'or crying.
