nah neymar was on another level, dont think he will reach it but can become still an absolute terrific player

Beating Neymar's peak will be tough, but I think overall Vini is going to have a better and longer career.

It's like comparing Lewandowski to Suarez with Vini being Lewa and Neymar Suarez. One having the consistency and the other the peak.

as long as he doesnt lose his head like neymar that is. happens too often with brazilians i am afraid. vini's entourage should do everything it can to prevent vini and neymar from becoming friends

Too soon to say. Who knows when his motivation starts to fade.

Neymar was on top for a long time. No wonder he got bored around 26.

Exactly!

This guy SEEMS to be more level headed than Neymar but with Brazilians you never know.
If Madrid get Haaland or Mbappe they are set in La Liga for the next seven to eight years.

Probably true but let's see how he does in 2022 and at the WC. That should tell us exactly whether he's really taking the reins of teams he plays for or if he's gonna be the Hazard jovial #2 type player

Don't think Vinicius surpasses Neymar, but has a good chance to have a more stable and consistent career.

He's simply not as talented or got the personality/ability to lead a team which Neymar the few, rare times he's serious, got. I don't think he need to anyway with all the talent Brazil have.

I dont want to rule it out but will be very very difficult to reach 2015-2018 Neymar level. If he holds the level which he has now it will be already very difficult to stop him. I thought ansu will be better than but in terms of dribbling finishius is clearly better and in finishing ansu is only slightly better.

He'll never reach Neymar's top level which is no shame.

Neymar was a generational talent. He hasn't lived up to it obviously, but there's going to be some time before Brazil get someone as talented as him again.

Vinicius has WC potential.

I see him with a Hazard like ceiling. World-class for a few years without being a "legendary" player.

Prime Neymar was a different breed. His clowning around and decline has made people forget what he was from 2014 to 2017.

In fact if you compare GPG it's eerily similar. Styles and progression also not too different where early CR would be a rapid stepover king doing all the work for strikers. Difference is Vini stepped into things at RM much earlier, was allowed to make those mistakes, unlocked this season and may well be on way to exploding.
Personality also evolves. CR always a diving tantrum kid in denial but Vini doesn't quite have that while also having elite NBA player mentality - "I fucked up? OK next possession". He's been put into environment of accountability very early and has a mate his age who started with higher floor to motivate him to iron out the kinks. Without Rodry he could well have ended up shitscared about his level

I don't see him as Hazard who always made a point he plays football to have fun, kinda like Marcelo or Dinho. Vini wants to be better and win
