There is no need to belittle Lewandowski like that, he has been tremendous domestically and in Europe.

He broke a record that stood for decades, thats not small stuff, even if its in Bundesliga.

People belittle Messi's Copa achievement (you even see those people in this forum) so it is expected that the same would happen to the other side.

Think both are great achievements.

Lewa didn’t get robbed we didn’t deserve 2021. He probably should have gotten 2020 and they snubbed him on that. Messi was the best player overall in 2021. And quite frankly at his age and STILL outperforming all these wonder kids speaks volumes. Though Mbappe is knocking

I don`t care about the winner of that award, but literally don`t get it why all the fans and some of the journalists are crying. He won fucking Bundesliga and that`s it. Nothing special in CL or EC.

Wouldn't call it a joke. It would have been based on CL performance alone and that was a diluted competition in the KO phase.

There are three types of fans and journalists in football. Messi fans, Cristiano fans and... then there are Liverpool fans who hate both players.

Most Cristiano fans are agitated currently, because the race for most BdO is beyond his reach and at age 36 (soon to be 37) playing for mediocre Man Utd the future doesn't look bright.

Overall it has nothing to do with Lewa, he is just another victim of the ongoing Messi vs. Cristiano media bubble. Also I like Lewa, but I've seen greater strikers in my lifetime. For instance Gabriel Batistuta, Dennis Bergkamp or Thierry Henry never got the award either.
