Messi has choked plenty too. 2014 World Cup Final 1v1 against Neuer. 2012 penalty shot against Chelsea. Copa America 2016.

Failing on a golden chance to end the hopes of a rival/win a trophy/end a drought is a choke.

But agree that every big attacking player has choked in history.

There is no player that will do everything right at every game. This should not be the criticism on Griezmann. The problem is he is hiding and not taking responsibilities. This season he is our top paid player. If he just does the same shit all over there is no point in defending him. If he steps up to the task we have a chance to be competitive, but I wouldn't expect anything at this point. Just wait and see what comes.

He wasnt hiding at all.

Always showed for the ball always worked hard off it and was second to Messi for shots/goals/assists.

Issue was at times looked confused/out of place with what role was supposed to be in team.

Ok, I feel he was hiding or playing extremely safe most of the time but that is past. Now he won't have Messi to occupy his space and we will see what he can give us. If he can't perform, we don't have any other top player to lead.

We have the upper hand now. They are fully aware that they cannot go into the season with only Suarez, and there are not many options available. Joao + at least 30m or at least 70m. Remember, they brought back Costa for 60m when CFC did not want him there.

This deal died the day Messi left officially. Koeman already asked for another striker, so no way Barca is going to sell. If you get 60M and Saul for Griezmann, you can only invest 15M into a new striker.
