Ronaldo is in the same situation (4th in the league, out of the CL, etc) and, rightly, noone is claiming he is still somehow the best, even though he, like Messi, is the top scorer in the domestic competition. This is not 2012. Neither of them is the best.

In 2021 Modric, KdB and Mbappe are all playing better and delivering decisive performances when it matters. As in every other sport, that is the standard for determining who the best player is.

Huh? CR is not my idol, lol. It is pretty sad though that Messi can't even muster the energy to beat Real Madrid without CR. You'd think it would be easy for the GOAT, no?


Also--lol? Harry Kane and three other players whose names I can't even recognize? Sorry, but that only makes you look silly. Noone can take that list seriously.

Pretty sad that Messi and co have better chance to win the league than Ronaldo. Imagine losing the tittle to Inter Milan and Ac Milan when Juventus has bought it for decade lol.

That is how whoscored rate players in their respective league. It is not really the best rate but at least it shows Messi is still on the top.

And to think that Modric won Ballon Dor immediately after Ronaldo left RM, show you how much he benefited from them.

Messi can spent the whole game walking around and score a penalty then get a perfect 10.

There's literally no balance discussions with Messi.
