Erling Braut Haaland

Very bad timing for him to move. If he signs, he will waste 2-3 years here without winning much, get frustrated and then leave. In recent times the club has developed a talent for sabotaging players careers. Does Haaland really want to become just another Griezmann, Dembele, Coutihno, etc?

This is not a surprise.

Catalan media reported that the new board's audit found out the club's economic result is worse than anticipated, but they've still budgeted for Messi's contract renewal + the big signing of one star. Rest will be La Masia player promotions or players contributing + free transfers. This need to happen with salary cuts by players like Coutinho leaving.

This is have been reported as Laporta's dream signing for months. He's positioning himself. Expect him to meet with Haaland directly soon too if Dortmund agree to it.

city fans also in panic mode

How come City haven?t already invited them for talks? Need to get things done quickly before anyone else has the chance.

Whatever their financial position Barca always manage to find the money somehow. We should have had some kind of agreement boxed off before other clubs got their dirty hands on him.

I understand that they are going to hear out proposals from all clubs, but I doubt Alf and Raiola have met all of them in person so there is obviously interest there from both sides. Laporta wouldn't surely come to the table if they cant finance it as that will get leaked and its embarassing on his side.

It is midway through a season. Dortmund have a top4 fight and CL games as earlynas next week.

No way his dad and agent would be going there This publicly, at This time if it wasn't in some way of genuine interest.

No way he would put his son in an awkward position with Dortmund and the press there at such a crucial point, just to go see whay Barca are up to, or to attempt tonstrengthen their negotiating hand. There is Something in this. Whether it is enough, who knows.
Fuck Citeh, low life scum club, plastic to the core.Hope they get neither of Messi or Haaland. That being said, i see Haaland in Madrid, which, well, i don t like at all.

Don't think Real Madrid can sign both Haaland and Mbappe and they very clearly want the latter, but perhaps they change their priorities allowing us to swoop in for the latter next year

His 180 million fee makes me nervous after our other 100+ million signings but fuck it. If there is a chance to get him you obviously go all in.

It?s just wild that if Suarez wouldn?t have still been here last January we would have had a very decent shot at signing him for much less.

And on a side note. Imagine if we did buy him.

That’s 300+ million to Dortmund in such a short amount of time.

Bartomeu would've paid Raiola to insult Guardiola in press and thus sabotage the transfer.

And buy some online trolls, just in case :valverde2:

Then still not sign Haaland and end up raiding a Brazilian playing in China like Hulk.

Nah.

They'd sign Lautaro Martinez and tell their propaganda media Mundo Deportivo and Sport to hype him up like some God next to the peasant Haaland.

Raiola will surely visit Real and City too and we'll know when that will happen. It's in his interest to "negotiate publicly" as much as he can.

Wouldn't surprise me much if he'd be on his way to Madrid right after he's done talking with Laporta tbh.

Yeah, basically a roadshow for investors/suitors. Raiola classic?

So this is serious and not April Fools Day after all.

I am happy to hear this but also remember how Dembele, Coutinho and Griezmann flopped. All, arguably, better fits for us on paper.

Dembele is the only player that was a good fit tbf, and his progression was ruined by injuries and him not taking the life of a professional footballer seriously his first couple of years.

Coutinho never actually played as a CM in Liverpool which is what he was brought here for. Griezmann has always played as a second striker sort of, played off a #9 in France in Giroud and in Atletico in Costa, again a role that doesn't exist for him at Barca.

Haaland meanwhile is an actual striker that we need.

Don, any detailed information on the findings of the audit?
