Laporta wasn't invincible, proved by 2015.
If anything, I am more thankful to him as he forced Laporta to get his shit together this time.

Yeah, and Font's an asset that can be good for the club long-term. Will keep Laporta and his board in check during their tenure because he's not going away anytime soon. Ideologically they're similar, but if Laporta's board underperforms Font will be there ready to take over.

I don't have a problem with that, but I was pointing to preference to keep it 12 years, rather than making it back to 8

This exit poll is just from the people who voted in person. He might end up with a bigger margin once the mail-in votes are counted. Unless Frexia's bots rigged those.

Yeah was thinking the same. Going by news and opinions on the internet it seemed he was very much out of favour but I guess opinion of him is fairly high in Barcelona.

Font and his team played a major role in ousting Barto's board before they could do any more damage and cover up their crimes. Most of those vote of no confidence ballots came from Font and his team making their offices available and working for it. His Xavi obsession and poor PR campaign and poor translations of tweets here make him look like an idiot, but he's not.

I did initially support him myself.

He need to improve his media and PR team/plan/whatever it was.

He's respected locally because unlike most of the people memeing him he has worked to help turn the club around.

I liked him myself, he was on a BBC podcast with Guillem Balague and had some very interesting ideas for the club, seems very switched on. He seemed prepared until Laporta entered the fray and then his answers about Koeman working under Xavi.

Goes back to your point about media/PR though. Was almost too transparent and needed more diplomatic/guarded answers.

I was always expecting 30-35% for him.
Laporta would be 50+ and less than 60 (Rosell record will remain unbeaten) and Freixa will be the joke of the election

I was supporting him, but didn't like his idea of replacing Koeman with Xavi, or having him work under Xavi (undermining eventually his authority).
I hope he run again in 6 years with those issues cleared up and no obsessions
