Aint gonna lie. Was pretty relaxed after Rayo scored and we made the subs. Thought our team was functioning well post subs and equalizer seemed matter of time. Thought maybe wed go to extended time though and finish it there.
Me too. Result doesn't reflect the game. Team has to be criticised for not killing the game earlier. Mentally wise, they reacted well after Rayo scoring which should be expected against a Segunda side though.
Firpo and Mingueza were bad going forward given the space they had. I don't blame Mingueza. He is not a fullback and he did his job in the last few games. What else can you expect?. Probably also his last game out of position as Roberto is already training with the team and very likely in the squad against Bilbao. Firpo, however, was shocking again. There are no excuses for him, nowhere near the level of Adriano or Digne. Firpo is on low wages, so the club should get some money for him.
With Alba and Pedri in, showing their quality, it was just a question of when the team will score. Pretty naive from Rayo to play a high line after 1-0, but kudos to them for staying true to their style no matter what. I hope they'll be back in La Liga next season. Games against them are always fun to watch.
