Lionel Messi - v7

It's always amusing when people in this day and age say Messi is the best in the world when he has the worst off the ball game out of all top players.

The numbers don't lie, his output has been only lower compared to lewandowski who plays in a better team

Deluded fanboys.

On latest showing. It's either Neydive or Lewan. I lean towards Neydive.

It's as if Messi exists when he is on the ball only. Do the math. Vs a serious top side, Messi has the ball at his feet less than 1% the total time of a match. Even if he is great in that 1%, if in the other 99% he doesn't have the ball he is a passenger, doing absolutely nothing but walking at snails speed, he is average on that night, in that match, in those circumstances.

Yea, that 1% vs Bayern is 10% vs Eibar. Or even more. And his influence goes up, and his numbers go up a lot.

The thing is that he IS part of the problem, because of his mentality. His body language is really disappointing.

Waiting another year won't change a damn thing.Even if Barto and the amigos leave,we won't suddenly become competitive again, because we have no money for transfers.

He should leave NOW to save his last 1-2 good years he has left. Furthermore,if he leaves then it's safe to say that all amigos will also be shown the door,so it'll be better for everyone.

"Messi is fed up. He will leave in 2021 if no drastic changes are made. [cope]"

He may as well leave now because there's no way that type of drastic change can happen in a year.

We don't have the money to rebuild. Even if we get a new board and manager, it still wouldn't make much of a difference in a year. And even if we sell some of our "top" players, we wouldn't get that much in return to rebuild this team.

Our team is too old and average. It's going to take around 5 years for us to even compete on a consistent level at the top.

The best solution would be to keep messi and sell all the amigos, unfortunately it won't happen.

Yeah exactly!! Messi wouldn't let this happen. He wants his Suarez.

That's why.. I think we have to start with Messi. This is sad fact I think. We can't get rid of the worse ones only.

If getting rid of Messi is the best people can come up with then the club is totally fucked

With him staying here we are just prolonging our misery and kicking the can down the road. It won't get any better with him staying.

I know I sound like a broken record but we need to rebuild NOW. A post-Messi Barca for our own good.
