Antoine Griezmann

I think in away he is a bigger waste than dembele & coutinho, because from the jump we knew he didn't have a place in the team, we should try to flip him & coutinho plus cash for mbappe

Which way is that? Being injured/useless or the 12 goals & 4 assists? All the pressing & defense he provides?

Griezmann was never the right fit for this team but to compare him to Dembele & Coutinho as wastes is absurd, at least there is a return on investment here

I'm starting to agree with the people who said that he's a totally wrong fit. He's not a bad player, but the fit is so questionable that it might become an issue later down the road.

He's going to lose his starting place if they sign a great LW and CF.

The best would be for him if he loses his starting place, because in that case he will at least consider leaving.
The sooner is better, because he is good for nothing at Barca, he is so single-sided, slow and predictable.

This far it looks like many people expected it. He is a good player, he works a lot, good linkup play but there just isn't a place for him.

Lacks speed and dribbling for the wing and doesn't have the presence of a true 9 in the center. And everything else Messi does better already.

Anyone know Antoine's release clause?

800M, i don't think PSG will do it if that's what you're thinking

Anyone know Antoine's release clause?

Imo, nobody would buy him.
People will reply: are you crazy?

The thing is, he is quite old.
He has been exposed at Barca (slow, can't dribble, average finishing).
Plus he has wages around 20m net, right?

So, which top club would be interested in him?
Barca: bad fit
Real: no way
Atletico: not anymore
Juve: maybe for like 30-40m max
Bayern: maybe, but for the same price: 40-50m
Man City: no way
Liverpool: too slow for them
Arsenal: they don't buy oldies
Chelsea: too expensive

Basically, the only two teams who could offer something like 60-70m are imo: Psg because he is French, and Man Utd.

The same is with Coutinho.
No one sane will pay more than 40m for him.

Should I even mention Dembele?
Even when fit, no one sane would buy him after his disaster at Barca.
And when you add that he is injured all the time and a horrible professional, we will be lucky if anyone (Psg or Man Utd again) would pay something like 30-40m for him.

Someone will reply: you are crazy, he is way better than that.
But remenber Song, Arda, Rakitic. Nobody is interested in Barca's players on insane wages who are underperforming.

If they had wages like 3-5m, we could sell them for more money.
But other clubs can't sign them because they are asking for the same wages likr at Barca.

Why would Cou accept 7m wages in a new club if he still has 2-3 years at Barca at 15m Net or more?
People could reply: but he could save his career.
That is also a risk.
Cou is so bad today that he would flop everywhere.
Dembele, do you think that he could play in any big club successfully? I don't think so.

These guys could save their careers only if they would go to a Uefa cup teams.
That means less prestige, no CL, lower wages...

And even then you have cases likr Denis who was not good for Barca, Arsenal and now he can't play even in midtable clubs.

In short: nobody will buy our players.
And it is questionable whether they will accept moves to new clubs with lower wages.

Who is guilty?
1. Bad sporting directors who signed them
2. And Lord Barto for giving them expensive 5 years deals

Big problem of barcaforum's users.
They want continually great players every year, complaining with management.

But if one of these (for example Griezmann) doesn't play well every match, users already think to sell and change him with another player.

Waiting for his great spring...
Go Griez!!!

He's been mediocre for more than half a season now. Technically and physically he's remarkably limited when we compare him to our usual standards, you know: Ronaldinho, old Henry, Neymar, Messi, Dembele, Sanchez, Suarez etc. Our forwards are usually insanely quick, great dribblers, can finish, and have a creative spark in them. Griezmann has nothing but finishing, and even there he's woefully disappointing.

Wonder what we bought him for because he would probably work in a 4-4-2 with Suarez but obviously we have Messi so we'd never play that shape.
